Looksmart Alterations

Arrived at the Chermside location with my wife. I had bought a pair of men’s jeans and she had bought a pair of women’s jeans, both needed the legs taken up. We were given two $15 Look Smart vouchers from Just Jeans when we purchase the jeans. Just Jeans service was above excellent. Look Smart girl was rude and not happy to be there, we were told she would only accept one voucher for one pair of jeans and would not accept the second voucher for my jeans. I was told I could use the voucher for my jeans when my wife’s jeans were collected. WTH? I think the lack of logic in her statement was lost on this silly girl. We will never use this establishment. Absolutely poor customer service and poor customer relations. Zero stars

Absolutely amazing job! The dress i had altered is very expensive, but was worried for no reason. They knew it was important ro me so took extra care. I cannot fault their work. Well done and thank you.

Trust all the negative reviews here.This is the second time I've used the Chermside store and both times have been an absolute disaster.Recently, I had a uniform altered that came with written instructions from my employer. LookSmart do these all the time for our company.The first time I came to collect it they had forgotten to complete part of the work and failed to follow the instructions the second time I came back.I wasn't fussed, accidents happen and it was an easy 3 minute fix but the staff refused fix the jacket without their managers approval unless we paid again. I pointed out that they didn’t follow the instructions that came with the jacket, which they accepted, but insisted they still had to check with their manager. They ensured me the manager would call me tomorrow.I didn't receive a call so I popped in later that week. They said they checked with their manager earlier in the week and told me he prefers to do the alterations in this way and that other companies do it that way. I tried not to laugh when I told them not all companies wear the same uniform.They told me to take it up with their manager Daniel. Daniel refused to return my calls over a period of two weeks. After spending so much time popping in on my days off I emailed their head office and they fixed it straight away.I never received a call back from the store or the manager.I travel regularly for work and go away for weeks at a time. When I collected the jacket, 4 weeks after I had originally dropped it off, the staff told me 'next time follow up on our mistakes in a more timely fashion'.All this for a 3 minute job, can’t make this stuff up lol

I would HIGHLY recommend to NEVER use this business! I had two pairs of shorts that need fixing and I washed them once in a AEG Front Load Washer and the stitching has all come off. When I went back to tell them they said it had been 2 weeks and there is nothing they could do. Poor Customer Service. Poor quality workmanship.I asked for my money back and they refused. Pathetic.

Would 1000% recommend AGAINST coming here to get things altered. I was told a price, paid and waited over a month to learn they never even started the adjustment. They advised the cost would be $60 more! I was so shocked and asked why would the price change?they advised the manager looked after me and he left?? They would not honour the price. It was a huge waste of time. Pay the little bit extra and go somewhere better

Gave my pants for alterations but came back like it wasn’t altered even abit. Paid $90. I am not really one who puts up a bad review but I think paying such an amount, I expect you guys to atleast do a better job. It literally looks like there was nothing done to the pants.

Had a suit altered very quickly and neatly. Luda did a fantastic job of bringing the sleeves up on the jacket. Not many tailors do that correctly these days. Didn’t have to wait long to get the clothes back too.

I’ve had mixed results using look smart Chermside. They did a great job on a tricky jacket alteration for me, but I’ve since been really disappointed with simple adjustments and dry cleaning to a dress - having to return 3 times because of issues. Eventually I just had to accept the dress as it was, given that I was leaving on holiday and couldn’t wait any longer. I’m assuming that a more experienced member of staff did my jacket but I’m not pleased with the standard of the minor alterations so won’t be using them again.

Staff are rude and incompetent. First time I went they amended the waist of my trousers. They ended up 2.5cm bigger than I asked for. I went back second time for them to fix it and they still couldn’t get it correct. Took my trousers elsewhere to be fixed. Do NOT go here !

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DRY CLEANING HERE!!! I handed my wedding dress and my husbands suit in last October to be dry cleaned, I received a message late January saying my order is ready to be picked up. When I arrive only my husbands suit was ready and they said they don’t have anything about a wedding dress on the order. I had to show the man working there my invoice and he was showing me all different wedding dresses in the store saying is this your dress?? None of them were. He then called the dry cleaners and said the dress isn’t lost and will be ready in 1 week. 3 months later I still haven’t heard anything about where my dress is. I called them back today and asked where my dress is and if they have lost it. They said it will be $380 and it will be ready in 1 week just like last time. When I asked why it has taken so long they could not give an answer, no apologies were given and the lady on the phone ended up hanging up on me. I still believe they have misplaced my dress as I don’t see why it would take 6 months for dry cleaning and why they can’t tell me why it has taken this long. So upsetting.
