1 Million Strong Gym

Been attending 1 Million Strong for over two years now and have nothing but the best to say about it and strongly recommend it to anyone. Always clean with state of the art equipment and an amazing atmosphere. The staff namely Neil and Amy as well as others have always been nothing but friendly, helpful and welcoming. Also, I would highly recommend the PTs that 1MS offers, especially Simon who's services I've been using since December helping me lose over 20kgs.

Been attending this gym for awhile now! And absolutely love it, the staff are so friendly and super helpful when your unsure on how to use equipment they show you, always big smiles around and there is nothing like going to gym where it feels like a second home!

The gym has everything you need and more. It is the most positive environment I've ever trained in. The staff are incredible and go out of their way to provide the best service possible. I drive half an hour each way, passing a number of gyms, just so I can train here.Clean, great staff and just a top notch gym.

Great atmosphere and the staff were super friendly when I signed up, and always greet you with a smile on their face. The facilities are well maintained and are regularly cleaned. Awesome gym run by and awesome crowd of people.Edit: Recently underwent some minor rennovations and replacements and recieved state of the art new equipment making an amazing gym even better!

Ok gym. Only weights and treadmills etc in use to more facilities like fitness first, fair weekly price which is good . But Always over packed by teens and can never use any of the equipment, had to cancel after a few months due to this .

Visiting Cairns from interstate, I was looking for a bigger gym with an atmosphere - similar to my home gym.1 million strong definitely has all the equipment needed for a serious strength workout with loads of pin loaded/hammer strength machines, a big range of dumbbells & cardio equipment to start/finish your workout.

I have used this gym for 2 years on and off. Today I went in and did a work out I have done many times. I performed power cleans and dropped the weight from my hips. I’ve performed this exercise many times without issue. A staff member came up to us and said your not allowed to do those “CrossFit exercises here.” I asked what I was doing wrong, they did not provide me with an answer. I left a review with my experience and within 5 minutes, because it wasn’t a 5 star review, my membership was cancelled and I was kicked out of the gym. No explanation. Nothing rude was said on our behalf, on our way out, a partner of one of the staff members got aggressive in my face threatening my wife and I. He said “ I will find where you sleep and where you live and show you what it means to workout here.” We asked him to back away and he proceeded to push up against me and my wife.If you don’t conform to their style or workouts, hypertrophy and body building, you are not welcome here.Aside from this experience, I had many great workouts. Gary is the best trainer there. He’s supportive and always encouraging. Gary is worth attending the gym for personal training.But there are other gyms in the area that have a greater diversity of equipment and welcome people from all workout backgrounds (Cross training, general fitness and body building etc)

I’ve been going to this gym for the last 8 months and my physique has improved dramatically because of it. All the machines are working well and everything is kept exceptionally clean. I also hired a Personal Trainer from there and i’ve achieved great results with him. The staff at the front desk are always enthusiastic and gregarious whenever I enter and exit. Definitely will be staying with this gym. Also love the no-contract membership that they provide us with.

Moved to cairns from Melbourne back in July 2020, Checked all the gyms out in cairns & it was a no brainer from day 1. Neil & his staff were fun knowledgeable and easy going. I went with my gut & I was on the money. I left cairns in dec 2020 and came back in may this year, and of course rejoined day 1 of arrival. My wife & I love training there. :)
