Kings Canyon Carpark
Lots of good info about the Canyon and the various walks available. The rim walk is very, very steep to start, about 500 steps and it appears to almost vertical, but once you get there, the going is relatively flat and the side detours are definitely worth the effort. The really steep parts on the back are navigated via a series of staircases and bridges. The Garden of Eden is a real oasis in the desert. The creek walk at the bottom was lush and dry, however the next day was completley inaccessible due to overnight rains turning into a raging torrent. There were waterfalls in the Canyon itself. Spectacular.

One of the top highlights of Australia!No matter which hike you take, you will be impressed. I recommend to make the rim walk as it is more impressive as the walk on the bottom of the gorge. On hot days, you have to start for the rim walk early, otherwise it will be too hot and the path will be closed.

Go early to avoid heaps of tour and school groups.Loads of parking.We were lucky no flies.Facilities. A little service right up the top.

The view was amazing from the start. The Rim Walk is definitely worth the meaty walk up the 500 stone steps. Book a tour. The guide at AAT was brilliant!

Kings Canyon rim walk is well worth the effort . As others have stated , after the initial steep rock stairs the view and awe is amazing. We were fortunate to do the walk on an overcast day, actually experienced some light rain which made the walk that more interesting. Clean well maintained toilets at the car park and a water top up station at the commencement of the track. Garden of Eden is just over half way through the walk and together with the sheet cliffs; amazing.Well constructed walkways and stairs to transverse the difficult sections.A big thank you to our two energetic and informative guides.

Stunning views. Very quiet at sunrise. Good signage and easy to follow the route. We loved the lack of railings as it keeps the natural beauty of this special place.

Kings Canyon Carpark
We went on the Kings Canyon Rim Walk tour with AAT Kings. It was absolutely gorgeous and well worth it, if you have the fitness to complete it. We did it in summer, which I would still recommend, however if you have the option to do it in winter instead I would recommend that instead.
