Thanks a lot for a lovely dinner tonight. Tasty, good size of meals and very nice atmosphere. The shashlik was the best in Australia! Friendly staff, quick service. Will be back for sure.

Wow, what a night. The night started off with a friendly greeting from staff as soon as we walked in the door. We were shown to our seats and within less than a minute water was brought to us without even asking! I read many of the previous reviews and people are saying that the service at Nikos Tavern was 'horrible' well this was most certainly not the case for us! The staff were some of the most prompt and attentive out of all the places we've been to in the local area. There was about 5 staff working tonight, serving at what looked like 150 people and somehow they managed to meet all of our need. We witnessed a few angry customers treating the staff very rudely, and thats just not on, they were teenagers and did not need adults belittling them. Food service was a bit slow, I was at first, a bit upset by this, but staff acknowledged the slow service due to a backlog of orders, even though the food was a bit slow, they kept coming over making sure we had enough water, drinks, and bread for our dips. Overall Food was excellent and delicious, we had an excellent night out, we have been going to Nikos for our family functions for a while now, and will continue coming for many years to come. Good job to the staff for providing top notch service despite how many tables there were.

We hired the tavern for a wedding function. During the night we had so many of our guests congratulate us on a great choice of venue. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, the food was spot on and it just kept coming. The staff were so friendly and happy to help and also attentive to our needs and the management made the entire process effortless. They allowed us to decorate the venue as we wanted. The band made sure we did plenty of dancing as well. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better night. Thank you so much to Nick and to Vera and everyone at Nikos Tavern. Also, make sure you book some plate smashing. OPA!!!

The guy who took the order was rude and very unhelpful. The chips were rediculously overcooked, the salad wasn't fresh and the souvlaki bread just fell to pieces. We used to love this place. This is the third time in a row it's not been great and today was by far the worst. If I could find zero stars I would

Food was below average was there for a birthday!! Onion on top of every thing! Lamb was good but chip where oil soaked. Calamari was some cheap rubber frozen and tasteless. Service was basic, struggled with simple orders. 3 stars for trying but you need experienced staff to run the floor. I have been many times but wouldn't go back again.

Great souvalaki at very competitive prices. Great place for take away whenever we are too lazy to cook. $30 will feed 3 adults nicely. Owner is a bit grumpy but never rude to customers. Love the guy :-)

There was a misunderstanding with our order/bill between the two waitstaff that served our table of 17. Things happen no hard feelings about this. Food was so so I wouldn’t complain about it.However what I will complain about is how unprofessional, condescending and rude the owner of this business. Telling me how long you have been in business. Have a look at how bad your reviews are and how tired and run down the place is. You won’t be in business for much longer treating customers this way.

It’s Actually unbelievable to me that this man is still in business the way he treats his customers. The food was average not terrible but no flavour and like I said it wasn’t bad it just wasn’t good. But the way the owner was acting I’m extremely surprised he’d be in business treating customers so badly. His team however were all lovely and apologised for his behaviour but they shouldn’t have had too. If I could rate lower than a 1 star I would!

We dined for lunch and had the banquet for 2. Amazing value and such great variety. Banquet included dips and bread, saganaki, chicken, pork, lamb, fish, prawns and dessert with tea or coffee. Great friendly service with a dance floor for Greek dancing.
