Absolute gem of a find! Wonderful vibe made from the heart and soul of this family run cafe. Met George .. WoW what an outstanding, genuine gentleman & his lovely wife. When we visit Melbourne this is our favourite cafe. Opens early for us early birds. BEST coffee in town without a doubt. Keep up your amazing hospitality Thank You !!

Was in Elwood for the weekend and decided to pay this cafe a visit. Prices are good compared to other brunch places - so hard to get brunch without breaking the wallet!We sat outside because we brought our pup.The Cuban sandwich was delicious, would definitely recommend. The chai was also not too sweet and hit the spot. Bircher was okay, also not too sweet and lots of fresh fruit.Overall would come again! Table was clean and waiter was also friendly.

This cafe is awesome, not just because they have the best family vibe and not just because they have delicious coffee. They are exceptionally good because they have massive big smiles when you walk in!...well, you must want to know about the food right?Wow.. wow.. wow!! If you love reubens, OMG, you need to try their amazing sandwich. 5 stars for the chef that created that masterpiece! Very well balanced - I don't even know how to describe how much I enjoyed it.Also, we have the plain Jane burger which was super, I mean -super- juicy and tasty.Nothing beats good customer service, combined with stunning, delicious, spot on meals. Well done guys!! Love your energy and your commitment!!

I've been to Miss Alex & Co a years ago and enjoyed my time here.Today, however, was quite different.I entered the cafe and chose to sit out back. It took some time for a staff member to notice me sitting there and then when addressing me rather than welcoming me, mentioned that I and someone else had 'snuck in' and next time we should let them know before we go out back to sit down. The tone and manner with which I was addressed was far from welcoming.The acai bowl that I ordered came out in a few minutes, looked like it had been thrown together, and the acai came in large frozen lumps as opposed to being blended. This made me think of the acai that you can buy in frozen packets from health food stores.I won't be returning as there are far better cafes in the area.

Review is only about the coffee, service and ambience (didn’t try the food). Great people watching spot! Lots of outdoor seating (can get a bit noisy but that’s not the cafes fault). Service was excellent and the ice lattes were delicious (two shots of coffee). Cute little wooden ironing board table too.

I come here quite often, and I am treated with such absolute kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness every single time. It doesn't matter if it's busy or quiet, every single member of staff is so lovely and speaks to everyone with respect and openness. I genuinely love coming here, and I love to bring my friends/family when they visit. Plus the coffee is incredible. Deserves more than 5 stars, best in Melbourne.

Been going here for how long- 10 years, so maybe time to pay my respects? Family run, great food (Rueben Sandwich divine and big enough for two) and coffee, but we go for the service and their charm. Always remember us and our coffee choices even when we haven't been for a while. We often choose to divert and get coffee here instead of the local cafes nearby on Tennyson St as they appreciate our business. Thus always busy. Seem to be open super early too. Worth a visit!!
