Not very impressed considering higher prices than many Malaysian restaurants around. Portion size is also smaller. The most inconvenient parts are many dishes are only available on specific days. So customers have to go on specific days if they want to eat what they like? It was obvious that many walk-in customers were surprised. Staff did not even give menu to customers. Sorry won't be coming back.

Came here for CKT. Ordered spicy with a side of sambal, unfortunately it wasn’t as delicious I thought it would be. No wok hei taste and no flavour/spicy. Service was great and plenty of other dishes to offer.

Price is very reasonable. Char kway tiao was quite good, chee chong fun (with curry sauce) was good. Nasi lemak was good too and add $1 for termeric fried chicken. Thot the chicken was small but no, it was quite a big size. Not recommending the black fried carrot cake as it was kind of salty and too sweet (due to black sauce). There's outdoor seating and can bring furry friends. The Malaysia coffee was OK.

Just had Ayam Penyet with coconut rice n Mee Ayam Special for lunch with my daughter. They were delicious. The Ayam penyet was flavourful, pipping hot, crispy n moist inside. The coconut rice is fluffy and fragrant with the right amount of coconut and was not clumpy as on the case with most cafe/restaurant.The Mee Ayam Special which was dry noodle reminds me of a lighter version of the Malaysian wanton noodle. It was light and delicious. Will be back to try the other Indonesian fare on the menu.

Knox Gateway Cafe, unassuming place that looks like Amy other cafe, but turns out they dish out pretty descent Indonesian and Malaysian food that won't break the bank.Came here for coffee ended up eating an early lunch.Service was great, they helped explain all the dishes available and was very friendly.Got the Ikan Lele goreng (Fried catfish) and Teh Tarik.Fish was fried well and made to order (you know because it means you can eat the small bones) seasoned well too. The tea was authentic. Will definately come back to try other dishes :)Note in terms of availability:Tues-Friday (serves both Indo and Malay food)Saturday (Malay food only)Sunday (Indo food only)

Everything is good here. Food and service. My favorite is the lor mai gai but they don’t have it today which is ok, because all others are yummy too!

Recommended by others, went here to check out the foods. Went on Saturday afternoon just about 1pm, it was not full but still busy with a few people. Saw that they have specials on the board outside of curry mee, so I thought to give it a try. They sell some kueh but I think most of them are gone since not so many varieties left. Teh beng was nice, good that they put in takeaway cup. I never tried curry mee before so I don’t know the standard but it was a bit like laksa, but I prefer laksa. I like the toppings (prawns, fish cakes, tofu, chicken sliced, beansprouts) but I think the soup itself didnt hit quite right. It’s very rich so I found I got full very quickly. However I would also love more vegs in the dish. Overall I like the vibe of the cafe, their menu choices but wouldn’t get the curry mee again. Staff could do better, when I came they just told me to sit wherever I wanted. I sat and waited and even though there was staff standing around, she didn’t give me menu or anything. I had to get up and asked, do I order at the counter? Then she gave me the menu. Just need a better direction if you are supposed to grab menu yourself and go to counter to order.

I've eaten here a few times before. Their Indonesian and Malaysian food are excellent. Came here for lunch two days ago and they had a special deal where all Indonesian dishes were 20% off (woohoo!!!). Tried their fried fish for the first time and it was absolutely scrumptious.

Absolutely mouth watering and delicious food. Everything we got was amazing, every bite got better and better.Curry puffs and pork buns were flakey and buttery. Fried chicken and bbq pork belly plate was succulent and the chicken was crispy.Hokkien Mee was packed with smokey deep flavour. It was rich and delicious.Truely a gem of a restaurant!
