Best experience I have had..Chris went totally out of his way to help me with a remote problem for my husband's car. He told me a week ago what I needed as they didn't have any in stock, at present. Ended up getting a remote from Toyota who wanted to charge me between 150-400 to fix the problem.. This gentleman worked with me for a time to get this done/fixed. It took a total of 4 seconds to reprogram the remote. So if you have problems with car remotes don't go to car dealerships go to Mister Minit at Bateau Bay. Totally Recommende. I took in a couple of old watches U wasn't even sure they'd work. A few new batteries, they gave me a good discount, were very timely and provided great service. I'd recommend them anytime.

Bloody lazy staff. The business is listed as closing at 4.00pm on a Sunday, but when I arrived there at 3.40pm (12 Sept 2021) to get only two pieces of my key duplicated, they already packed their stuff up and refused to accept any customer. I ask the staff if they are closing already, but they said that they will close at 4.00pm. However, he won't accept any more customer at that point. Well I guess, when the boss isn't there to supervise, that's the kind of work attitude that the staff will show. The staff might be the boss' son, I don't know.Next time if you're going to refuse any more customer within 30 minutes before closing, might as well just list your business as closing at 3.30pm on Sunday, so that people won't waste their time coming to a place with their hope helds high that they will get a good service from a place that didn't value their customer. I didn't even mention yet about the overpriced key cutting service, didn't I? Let's not go there for now.

I have been going to mister minit at bateau bay for years , I only will go to Chris because he goes above and beyond with his work especially his engraving. I’ve seen other workers and they tell me they can’t do the engraving I want because it’s too hard. Chris always excels and makes my experience easy and enjoyable . Love his work !!

I went into Mr Minute on Saturday to have a battery replaced in one watch replaced, and a link taken out of the bracelet of the other watch
The gentlemen that serves me (Anthony was his name from memory) was very helpful and accomodating, and said he could do both within 10 - 15 mins, which I was very happy aboutUpon returning I found that the first watch had its battery replaced with no issue. However, the second watch that needed its bracket shortened had an issue. According to Anthony, the watch bracket was problematic, which led him breaking a link on removal (pic attached). I found this to be very odd as I have never had any issues wth the bracelet of that watch. I didn’t question (or argue) and paid for the jobs and went on my way. This however wasn’t the worst of it….Whilst dusting some bookshelves at home, the bracelet came apart and landed on the floor. Fortunately in this case it landed on carpet. Had I been working elsewhere and the watch had landed on tiles, there was a good chance I might have had a cracked watch face on my handsI have subsequently taken the watch to a professional watchmaker, who has confirmed to me that there was no issue with the watch bracelet and nothing adverse should have happened. He then repaired the previous work, and also double-checked the bracelet to ensure there no other links hat may come loose.Given the good experience I had with the battery replacement, its very unfortunate that Anthony hadn’t been honest with me re: the bracelet adjustment. If he didn’t have the right tools and/or skills to do the job, he should have just been honest about it. As opposed to making out that the watch bracelet was the issue. I probably still would have done the battery replacement, and got the watch bracelet altered at another timeSo with this experience, Mr Minute have unfortunately lost me as a customer. I would advise anyone who has a watch they value which may need a bracelet adjustment not to come here under any circumstances. Unless you would like to go through the experience that I just have

Polite efficent service quality and price of keys were good . Got remote key in my ford going properly that others couldn't

I went here earlier in the year for a simple car key to be cut. About 3 hours later, I walked out fuming with my broken original key, a non working superglued new key and the boss's pliers!!!I was served by an incompetent young rude guy, polite at first, saying sure that'll be about 10 mins.Got back to the car, wouldn't turn in the ignition. Went back to store, he got angry and said this happened last week with another Toyota. He filed the key walked back to car with me and still not working.This is when he started getting angry.Long story short, he basically cut a key he knew nothing about, blamed the boss for leaving him alone to run the store, did something weird and dodgy putting the key into an incorrect casing and saying don't tell my boss, bashing the key about, sticky taping and supergluing it together.He also for some unknown and unnecessary reason filed back my original key rendering it useless and sent me home with no working keys expecting me to turn the ignition on with pliers and telling me to come back the following day.Went back day after and spoke with owner. Told him what happened, told him all the dodgy undermining comments his employee had said about him. He was nice about it and cut a new key and gave a refund.New key is a bit loose and have to really push the casing to lock/unlock doors so I would never return to this storeThis was a very traumatic and time consuming experience.I believe the young guy was called Aiden or Aaron. I sure hope he was fired.The other young guy, who is the nephew of the owner had some unpleasant comments to add about the owner, probably should get rid of him too.

I had Rick have a look at my remote for my alarm system the other day as it was showing up on my monitor that there was a problem with it. He worked on it for about 20 mins trying all sorts of different things thinking he couldn't fix it and didn't charge me a thing. I got home and tried it and its all fixed now. Thanks heaps Rick

Did great job with my car key which was electronic and remote .works great . Staff member was very knowledgeable on all aspects of this

Staff require intensive customer service and product knowledge training. Attempted to charge me $20 for a lithium cr2032 lithium battery. I purchased 4 of these for $2.25 at the Reject shop across the way. The staff member was very rude and abusive and requires an immediate attitude re-alignment. This occurred 1/4/2018 at lunchtime. Don't go there unless you are in need of being ripped of and verbally assaulted. Cheers
