Have really enjoyed this place in the past. Tonight my burger was terrible. Bun burnt, chicken oily, chips cold and under cooked. Sat in a draught from front door which was left open forlong periods. My wife's gluten free pizza was part raw on the base. Disappointing.After reading the response from The Owner" I am left feeling even less impreesed. An apology isn't an apology if it comes with a "but". None of what we experienced was our fault. To suggest we suffered in silence without alerting staff of our problem is wrong. I did ask our waiter if he would close the door. He kept walking (past the door) and said "I'll be right back." But he wasn't. At no stage were we asked if everything was good with our food. So we paid our bill and left."

My experience dinning at the groove train Waurnponds was truly delightful, their menu had a variety of options without being to much and their staff were so friendly and accommodating to any dietary requests I made.I will be returning to dine here again often if not for the food most definitely for the friendly staff

Steak sandwich was nice with great flavour, chips were bloody awful, just rubbish yet so simple. Chicken risotto was moosh and unseasoned. The screaming kids made this a place I'd leave off the date night places.Service was slow and a bit rude. Was busy tho and smashed by home delivery drivers.

Enjoyed my tandoori chicken pizza and cappuccino. Staff were nice, too. However, I’d say it’s a bit pricey!

The young blonde male waiter was running that floor like a boss, very impressed, meals were nice and service from other staff was very friendly, great job guys ❤

** If you have dietaries, avoid**I’ll start by saying the food was good. However this was tarnished by the TERRIBLE service. We had a diner with dietary restrictions and the lack of knowledge about what was in their meals even after the waitress “spoke to the chef” was scary (have you ever heard of coconut cream containing dairy? According to this place it does!) The waitress, while nice and pleasant, just didn’t understand how the menu worked. Someone at our table ordered a meal with no additional add ons, however the waitress insisted they must choose a protein and this was included in the price. As expected, when getting the bill the additional cost was charged. The manager was very rude when trying to discuss this. Ultimately a refund was given but it was very much a take this and get out attitude.Ultimately, I think some staff training is required and this would resolve the issues. However if you have dietaries, I would encourage you to avoid this venue.

Saturday morning brunch was relaxed and tasty at The Groove Train today. We had a genuinely happy and pleasant waitress who provided options for people with dietary needs. The coffees arrived fast and hot, and our meals not long after. Nice place to linger in before a movie.

I haven't been to any Groove Train for a long, long time (Thanks, Covid). Its same but different. Bolder. More energetic. Very generous meals and accommodating staff. We got there at 720PM and were fed, full (so full!) and off to the cinema by 820PM.
