Easy to assemble and fit I have only used it a few times at home but works like a charm, the side loader appears to be a lot easier to use than an over the back type and at no time is the boat standing bolt upright with the bow some 4 meters in the air as I have seen with other loaders, the whole loader arrived well packaged as and when expected, the instruction sheet could do with some upgraded photos, a picture being worth!!!Overall very happy with service, contacts and, product.

My Kayak Loader has taken the stress and strain out of loading a 33kg tandem fishing kayak onto my Subaru Outback. I consulted with Steve and Linda both before and after purchasing. They provided excellent advice which matches the quality of their product. I showed the kayak loader to guys who fitted the tow bar to my car - they were impressed by the simplicity and the sound engineering of the loader. Thank you Steve and Linda.

I live in Western Australia. We have a number of local boat loader suppliers here. I was attracted to Boat hoist as we travel long distances and I wanted the outboard engine to be incorporated into loading the dinghy. After a number of phone calls and emails to and fro Qld office ( Steve) I was convinced that BoatHoist was the way to go. They arranged a package, Boat loader, Trailer and Trolley and I received a discount on that basis. I did advise them I was looking at a Mako craft vagabond 3.65 metre dinghy with a 20 HP Honda and had a Isuzu Dmax. The gear arrived in good time, about 10 days. First problem was the boat trolley, the part that the engine was to be attached to was on the wrong side. A call to Steve fixed that and a replacement trolley frame arrived in about a week. I put the trailer to-gether no problems and had it it checked for road worthiness then licensed. About 3hours with the bureaucracy. WA has a list of trailer manufactures, does not include BoatHoist. It was finally registered as “ Sports Trailer”I used the trailer to pick up my new dinghy with engine attached. There were two rollers included in the package, one higher than the other. For the length of my dinghy another 2 were required some it would rest on the keel when being towed. A friendly Ali Welder made them up for me, about $60. All goodSteve had suggested that because I had a dual cab Isuzu, he recommended a flexible fitting that would require a third roof bar on the cab mainly because of the length of my dinghy. The canopy had 2 bars rated a 150 KGS. The boat and engine weighed 126 KGS. The MY 18 Isuzu has only 2 positions for a roof bar, one close to the canopy and one forward of the centre line between the doors. Holes -predrilled. The long 40 by 40 square tube that is the basis of the boat loader were too short. Two 3 metre by 40 bay 40 square tube were acquired for about $80. The Rhino roof bar (about $275 and labour for fitting about $150). All goodPS the video and instructions talk about a 75 by 50 set of tubes for the flexible mount)Now to get the engine (46 kgs) off the boat onto the Trolley. The engines are top heavy and the trolley is very unstable. It is not a one man operation for an ordinary person. Moving the trolley is dangerous, holding it up with one hand and trying to put the legs in is not as easy as the video shows. The engine has the scratches to to prove it .With the engine on the trolley and the Dinghy held steady by the winch ( its great) you simply wheel the trolley into the dinghy with the bottom lugs fitting into the gunnel channel, as per video. Not so. If you are managing the trolley and engine you can’t see where the lugs are. Not a one person operation. With help, got the bottom lugs in. Then attempted to get the top lugs in. Not possible. The lugs were about 5cms from the gunnel channel. I had to remove the floor of the dinghy to get the engine and trolley in.To cut a long story short, we loaded the boat and engine onto our Dmax using the winch and are now on route to Exmouth. So far (about half way) all good. Only one bolt has worked loose.Advice to newbies. Leave enough time to try every thing out before you travel!Advice to BoatHoist. Your product looks good on the videos. In practice there are a number of issues as outlined above. I think communicating with QLD and then having distribution from NSW could be a contributing factor.

I purchased a Boat Hoist this year & have enjoyed 6 fishing trips using it.The Boat Hoist saves your back & is easy to use, about 5 to 7 min Boat on or off the Hoist. My Wife was impressed with the ease I could load the Boat onto the top of the 4x4 without moaning & groaning trying to get it up onto the racks the old way.

We are on the road full time and needed an easy way to load our boat on 200 series , after a lot of home work decided on the boathoist system. The clencher was the rooftop trolley which allowed us to store outboard under the boat , topped off the complete system with trailer we have been over approx 2000 klms of dirt and a lot of hideous corrugated roads with nil problems. 10/10

I purchased the Sidewinder boat loader, RT motor trolley and the folding boat trailer from Boathoist International at Taylors beach. The products perform very well, the boat loader has no trouble handling the 76 kg tinny with the outboard motor clamped on the RT trolley inside tinny (the motor fits inside my makocraft quite well). Loading and unloading the boat and motor is quick and easy. The folding trailer is very easy to assemble and performs well on the road. This setup if perfect for those wishing to take a tinny on their travels.

Bought the boat loader system prior to our travels and found it to be the best investment to carry and handle our boat. Had a small issue with the motor trolley but Steve did not hesitate to supply a new one regardless of the cause of damage, excellent customer service in my opinion and should be congratulated. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking to buy a boat loading system.

After a lot of research I bought a tinny sideloader off Steve, best boatloader I have owned & I've had a few, boat hold down brackets work great. My only tip is be patient with installation & double check all measurements.

Bought my boat loader and trailer 5 years ago and not one issue.I left the bolts and plates on the back of my ute last trip and lost the lot. Phoned Steve and within a couple of days all the spare parts arrived at my door. The service from this company is as good as its product and that is exceptional. I have taken my boat across every dirt track in OZ and not once has the boat loader roof racks let me down. Thanks again Steve and Co.
