I know adding sweet stuff makes the dish more appealing to western and that’s fine. But a szechuan dish tastes just like meat with sweet chilli sauce? That’s a big no. Would not recommend this place to people with preference for authentic Asian foods.

Our favourite Chinese dish is Mongolian beef & we just had the best one ever. We're from Adelaide & wish we could make the Mandarin Mt Gambier our local.Staff & service were excellent as well.

We went tonight for dinner and food was great aswell as the service. Try the handmade steamed dimsims. Beef and black bean was so tender and tasty. Plenty to take home for leftovers. Next time staying in Mount Gambier we will be back here to eat.

What a great Chinese restaurant. We had dinner there last night. San choi bow, satay sticks, Mongolian lamb and chilli prawns along with rice dishes.. fabulous quality, equivalent to Adelaide and Melbourne restaurants. Good wine choices and other beverages and service to match.ThankyouBack soon .

Food was yummy and service was good. Sizzling Beef dishes were amazing. Portion weren't big but good enough. Highly recommend and will definitely come back when we are in Mt Gambier next time!

Delicious, affordable, Chinese food. We came for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the food and service. What a lovely find. We had the Cashew Chicken, Tofu and Vegetables and the Special Fried Rice. All very tasty.

Poor service. Put in phone order for a set time. When I arrived it was not ready and was 15 minutes late. At least two customers who walked in and ordered while I was waiting received their orders before me.
