I think we had our best tonkatsu in our life.We ordered 1x rib eye, 1x striploin, 1x ox tongue skewer set and spent approx $40 per person.Their rib eye is definitely to die for, slightly more expensive than the striploin but alot juicier.Our fave sauce is their original sesame sauce compared to the tonkatsu or miso.Im abstain on their service as to be honest nothing's wrong with the service.The atmosphere is 5/5 as you cant smell the fying oil and your clothing wont smell the deep fried oil when u leave this place.Coming back here again !

Absolutely the best tonkatsu in town! Ordered the ribeye set. The portion is great given the price. The panko was super light, not oily at all, yet the pork part was very tender and juicy. The sauce was great too. Everything was not heavy at all. Highly recommended!

Simply put, this was the best Japanese style tonkatsu I have ever had in my life.Ensure to make a reservation prior visiting!Would recommend the ribeye cut if you like the fat and the texture of thick pork, otherwise if you like standard" & less thicker style then should go for striploin cut."

Have tried to visit several time without booking but failed because this place is sooo popular! Until last night mystery was finally revealed! Came with friends and we all ordered to pork katsu + ebi katsu or Kaki katsu. The portion is quite generous for girls but take away is acceptable so don’t worry you might not be able to finish. Friend from Japan recommended the kaki katsu and they are amazingly delicious!

Best Tonkatsu in Melbourne!Ton &co is one of my favourite Japanese restaurant.I ordered pork ribeye tonkatsu with dark miso sauce. Miso sauce was amazing and the meat is very soft and tasty.Highly recommend here :)

Service is good and food comes out really fast when you’re there early. Otherwise there’s a little wait but it’s not overly long.I like the leaner and thinner cut of pork but with the thicker one you can taste the seasoning better. Prawn katsu is really good and I think next time I’ll go with prawn instead of pork if there’s 2 of us. The miso soup, I can’t fault it but the potato salad has a super strong mustard taste. I’d call it mustard potato salad instead of potato salad.The ox tongue skewer, if you’re a fan of ox tongue, you’ll like it. The slightly charred taste is great.

You pay premium price and that’s exactly what you get. Probably the best Japanese Pork Cutlet restaurant in Melbourne. They are on the pricier side but everything was cooked to perfection. The salad was fresh and tasty as well.

The ox tongue melts in your mouth like a piece of fatty wagyu! I was expecting the usual tougher texture with a bit more bite but this is a better version. Very generous portions.

So pleased to have found the best Tonkatsu here in Melbourne! I would like say a BIG thank you the owner of the shop and the team. I’ve been craving for good tonkatsu when I was pregnant they are so lovely not just to make sure that my portion is properly cooked and the low card option without the rice and miso soup is just perfect for me that suits my dietary requirements with gestational diabetes. The meat is so juicy and tender! It was just perfect, me and my partner loves it so much. We have been going back for a few times now with our little 1 y’o boy. Despite it’s a small restaurant, it’s very baby friendly. But please do remember to make reservations ahead.

Ton & Co- Pork Rib Eye Cut (300g) w/ Ebi (1pcs) and Tonkatsu Sauce $35.5- Pork Striploin cut (250+g) w/ Dark Miso Sauce $26- Ebi (1pc) $6.5- Rice & Miso Soup Set $5No doubt Ton & Co serves the best Tonkatsu in Melbourne. I was transported to Japan the moment I bite into the pork cutlet. We ordered both the Ribeye and Striploin cut. They were equally amazing. All the pork was cured and aged hence it was extremely flavourful. Our tonkatsu was perfectly cooked. The crust was crispy and remained attached to the pork. The ribeye was extra fatty so it was more tender and soft than the stiploin. It legit melted in my mouth. I personally prefer the thinner cut as I like the chewy texture and less filling. Also recommend ordering their ebi. The prawn was fresh, crunch and cooked to perfectly. Ton and Co is a small restaurant so definitely make a booking before your visit.
