Only did an O/nighter, but have to say nice and clean. Alright no showers big deal large body of water not far away. Long drop toilets big deal, clean no bad odours. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. Table not bolted done so easy to move to suit your site requirements.

Enjoyed the time spent there. Plenty of room between the sites. Good area for water activities.

This campsite within Wellington National Park nestles on shores of Wellington Dam.It is a beautiful location. You need to bring all of your own drinking water though as the dam water is not treated and therefore not suitable for drinking. There are fire pits available for use during the cooler months, so take your own firewood as collection is illegal in National Parks.

Good dam to spend the day. Drive the car right up to the shore line (4wd not need, but recommended driving further down the dam.) Boat launch not too far off the bitumen road. The water is warmer than other dams/rivers in Collie area (for example Honeymoon Pool) Remember to bring some shade.

I've been to two of the better spots in the campground; one had direct water views and the other was more private (both in the Gilgi Loop). All sites have a table and firepit.I have a 4WD with a rooftop tent and both sites were very large and accommodated my setup well.Activity-wise, it's a perfect spot for bird watchers, there is a pump track for mountain bikers and water access is a short and easy walk. There are no motorised vessels within 100m of the shore near the campground but a bit further down is a boat launch area.Drop toilets were clean but the overgrown path to get to one of them is terrifying at night when it gets shrouded in spider webs and creepy crawlies. If all spots are taken, there is no choice but to use that path, otherwise it's safer to cut through one of the adjacent camp sites (in the middle of Gilgi Loop). I'm sure everyone would benefit from a dedicated path to the toilets, especially at this higher price point!I keep coming back to this place for relaxation, beautiful views and lovely water when it's hot.

Lovely area on the water, with heaps of camp sites! Just a shame that people book out sites and don’t show up, resulting in lots of empty sites for the night which could have been claimed by other keen campers.

Wonderful place, has everything for a real camping experience. We kayaked on the water, played cricket on the beach. And even the bird wildlife got up close enough to take a piece of bread to eat. Worth the drive.
