Playhouse Parent and Childcare Centre

The Playhouse is a caring, stimulating environment with happy kids. I have found that the educators here are genuinely passionate and patient with children. The facility is well maintained and the centre food is great. The centre director Sam is well aware of each child in care.

I have 2 children at Playhouse and they both LOVE it there. My daughter will be very sad to leave when she starts big school next year. The staff are wonderful. I always feel like I am leaving my babies with people who genuinely care about their well being and strive to give the kids a great day.

We have had an amazing experience with Playhouse. My son started there when he was 5 months old and the staff were very loving and caring. He's now 2.5 and we're still there, and he just adores his carers. There's a good mix of planned and spontaneous play, both indoors and outdoors, and the new centre is spacious and clean. Staff retention is great, his baby teachers are still there and comment on how big he's grown and his new teachers have been there all along as well. There's a real family atmosphere at playhouse and we are lucky to send our son to such a wonderful centre.

I can't rate this place highly enough. All staff from admin to educators are super friendly and caring. My 2 kids go there and everyone knows their names. My kids feel loved, they always enjoy going to school. Sam the director is always present and is well aware of each child in care. Hue and Chau who are in charge of enrolments are super flexible and will go above and beyond to support your family's needs. It feels like family, not a business. Location is perfect for UQ staff and students, cost is low compared to the area's average and for its convenience.

Playhouse is the best center, my son is happy and joyful here. The staffs and educators are friendly, caring, highly trained and professional. The facilities are wonderful, lots of toys, activities indoors as well as a large outdoor playground. Highly recommended!

Our son has attended after school care at Playhouse for more than a year now. The staff are lovely and do a fantastic job engaging with the children. The convenience of a bus from Ironside, included meals and snacks, and the great excursion options during vacation care really make Playhouse the perfect choice.

Our experience with Playhouse has been only positive. Our daughter started at the old centre when she was just shy of 14 months old and although very clingy to begin with, only took a week or so to find her feet. The staff were very attentive and caring. She transitioned to the new centre location when she was around 15 months old. She's now 2.5 and although we need to move her closer to home in the new year with a new baby on the way, we wish she could stay! She adores her educators and the other children (within her class and in other classes). She is also quite attached to some of the other parents. We feel there is a good mix of planned and spontaneous play, both indoors and outdoors. We love that food is supplied and like the variety. The centre was also supportive when we requested to use cloth nappies (even though they didn't have other children there using cloth). The craft activities are great and she is always coming home with new creations. Playhouse has a real community/family atmosphere and it is easy to quickly feel right at home. Thank you team for all that you do - we will miss you all!

We lived in Brisbane for eight months with two daughters (1yr and 4yrs) and we decided to register them on Playhouse because some friends recommended it. That was the best decision ever... The girls (and us) felt safe and happy there. All the staff was perfect and we have good memories from that days... I totally recommend Playhouse!

Both my daughters love the Playhouse. All the staff are so wonderful and caring. Over the last 6 months, I have got to know Sam (Director) and many of the carers personally and I know that my daughters are in safe hands with them. The centre has a wonderful large, open space for the kids to play in, with lots of different play areas to explore and learn different skills. I love that my two daughters can see each other from their different play areas and that my older one is allowed to go play with her baby sister everyday in the babies area. A huge plus for me is that meals are provided! Can't recommend the Playhouse enough.

Playhouse team was wonderful with us since the first email. Our kids had an amazing time there, the educators and all staffs were the best. We had a wonderful time there and we will never forget.
