Disappointing and poor communication. Found excellent and reliable work elsewhere

I had over 90m2 of concreting done.Positive1- Competitive price a little on the high side.2- Reasonably responsive in communication.3- Responds positively to modifications and says he will accommodate.4- Has wonderful ideas, which does help, wish he actually prided in delivering a quality work.5- He finished the main part of the work.Negative1- Not only he does not read plans, he does not listen to what you say. In our case he wanted to pour the concrete 3 meters short.2- From the start he tried to say he is not making money, and every time I saw him, he complained that he is not making money. Even though he visited the work priced the work and I had given him full spec and drawings.3- Makes you feel he is doing you a favour.4- The quality of work is poor:a. He was to put two conduits for electrical wiring. I called him the night before pour to ensure he has the bends. He came to site with no bends. He patched the conduits together poorly with no bends, now both conduits are blocked.b. I repeatedly warned him about shallow pool pipes. He cut through them. He didn’t fix them until just before pour so we could not pressure test.c. He left a star picket and two other reinforcements as markers in the concrete. I asked him to pull them out before it was too late. He ignored my warning. At the end he had to grind them off. Now I have a rusting metal sticking out of my concrete.d. His men left his chopper on my setting concrete, now I have an imprint of his machine on my entertainment area.e. General finish very poor. Parts broomed finish, parts chopper, parts no finish at all.f. When I confronted him blames on concrete supplier.5- His men are feral, foul mouthed swearing left and right in my home with children.6- They drink alcohol on site. I had to collect cans of their bourbon.7- They left a half-eaten box of KFC on site, our dogs spread them all over the yard.8- Cigarette filters everywhere.9- Promises things that has no intention of delivering. We agreed on a price to add a beam at the edge of the concrete, simple matter. At the end I had to help dig the beam by hand myself. He had an excavator but had not bothered.10- When the work was done he wanted more money for removing earth.11- At the end even though he had agreed to do some grouting as part of the work and had priced the work for it and I paid him for it. He left the job without completing it.
