Adelaide Parklands

Here, I was able to immerse myself in nature and let my soul follow the water stream.Here, I was under a tree glittering in the autumn sun and dreaming old dreams.Here, I remembered the old days when I sat reading and thinking about distant horizons, and missing my loved ones.

The park lands provide peaceful moments of people on a lunch break from there busy work day & a few good playgrounds but the parklands need to investigate to make sure that they are in a good safe condition from any unsightly issues.

My grandson loves his trips here, and we loved being there to share it with him. It is a very happy place

Large, beautiful area. Around here there are designated RC flying fields that are a great place for beginners, there'll often be other pilots around to talk to.

What an amazing concept! The Parklands is a continuous ring of green space surrounding central Adelaide and is comprised of several individually numbered parks with different characteristics (some more stylized, some more pastoral, some more for children/entertainment/sports).We split up our walk through the Parklands over several days, which I’d recommend. There’s a walking trail loop easily identified by the blue circle markers on the ground (though it can disappear at times and then pop up unexpectedly—good to also follow along on a map or on your GPS). It’s a total of a little over 12 miles (19.5 km) to do the entire loop, but it can be split up in three sections which are easily accessible using the free sections of the Adelaide tram (the northern half above the River Torrens, and then the right lower fourth and then the left lower fourth). Also, it can be combined with sightseeing at many of the spots along the way, which is what we opted to do. Overall, def recommend doing if you’re in Adelaide! Never seen anything like it in any other city I’ve visited.

Best park to enjoy and to spend family time

Adelaide parkland is in severe danger of destruction by the Malinauskas government. Use it while you can, it's being ruined this year 2023

Very nice spot for outdoor activities. Hardly 5-10 mins walk from central cbd.

These parklands are part of Adelaide's charm and circle most of the city. Being a local I have used them extensively for chilling out or riding my bike through. Plenty of trees and grassed areas for relaxing and BBQ facilities for family lunches. Don't walk through them alone at night tho as often has homeless people etc but they are relatively safe and well policed and have good lighting. Lots of bats flying around in summertime. Worth a visit.
