Tasmanian Devil Unzoo

Amazing experience! The staff were full of facts and stories, and the animals themselves were so beautiful. The grounds themselves are a Tasmanian paradise full of ferns and native trees and birds, but the Devils steal the show. The unzoo concept works so well for this place and we changed our plans to spend the whole day there. Highly recommended!

Love what they are doing for the conservation of Tas Devils. Got to pat kangaroos and saw 2 devils. Otherwise it’s nothing more that doing a walk through the bush which you can do for free. $44 entry may be a bit steep but if it helps the devils so be it.

I've been to the Unzoo twice, once a few days ago, and previously a few years ago. In that time the Unzoo has moved further toward embracing its concept, which is great for the animals it aims to support but does mean the experience is a little more unpredictable for guests.Visitors can be assured of seeing a few older Devils who are now captive at the site, and there will be an opportunity to hand-feed and pet some kangaroos, but other things at the park are somewhat dependent on the whims of the largely free-roaming animals that frequent the Unzoo.It's not a place to go if you just want to check off a list of Australian animals to have seen. But a visit to the Unzoo is unique, and money earned goes toward the conservation of the endangered Tasmanian Devil.

this is a tough one for me because the unzoo is a great idea, i liked the guy giving the presentation, and we did see two very (seemingly) happy devils.all that to say, it was $44 for entry and the main attraction really is the devils.

Small zoo featuring mostly tassie devils. 1 hour here is about enough. The devils are very friendly and put on a great show. I love them! You also get a demo showing some local birds like rosella, new holland honey eaters, cape barren geese and blue wren etc. All very stunning birds. There are roos in the back within large grassy oval enclosure and a short open bush track which may have wallabies. 44 dollars for adults. Bit steep for such a small area but the animals here are a delight to see. Btw there is no zoo smell here.

Not usually a fan of zoos but observing the feeding of Tasmanian devil was interesting. The bird show was a surprise.The $44 entry fee is quite steep though.

There were four Tasmanian Devils in separate enclosures and witnessed feeding time for one. Kangaroos are well fed and have good interaction with people.

Fun opportunity to get up close to Tasmania’s fauna. Pet the ‘roos, feed the birds and see the devil’s feed. This private unzoo doesn’t have the restrictions of a public place and gives the animals plenty of room in n the habitat. It’s fun, especially for the kids.

Wonderful experience with the Tassie wildlife. Got close to kangaroo, Tasmanian devils and some local birds.

Amazing spot with healthy happy well-looked after animals, wild visitors, great stories, and passionate humans looking after the place. Wish I could give it more than five stars. ⭐️ ♥️
