I hate to write a negative review, but would give this place zero stars if I had the option. We ordered takeaway and we’re given the wrong food, which happens nbd. The woman who took our order however was very rude to my partner and blamed us saying that we gave her the wrong order, which we absolutely did not. He very nicely requested the correct food and her behaviour, frankly, was bizarre. He had to wait an extra 30 minutes to pick up the order, which was not as described on the menu and incredibly overpriced considering this and the small portion size. It was not good and there’s a reason the restaurant doesn’t have a very high rating. Go somewhere else.

The food and service was so good and great value. We had the 250g rump and it was amazing, along with super fresh vegetables and chips. Loved it.

Restaurant at the Mission Beach Resort
Ladies and gentlemen, The special : Steak 300g Rib eye fillet and BBQ pork spare ribs for $45 was out of this world , cooked to perfection, medium rare and melt in your mouth, never mind about the sides they were great as well. Sticky date pudding just as great, beer was cold and service was great. Compliments to the Chef and staff. Will be back.

Thought we'd give it another try...Very clean, under staffed, untrained staff. Meals were average at best. Such a shame that our local is not quite up to scratch, and hasn't been for a long time.

Restaurant at the Mission Beach Resort
We went for dinner here as there were very few places open around us on a Monday night and we were pleasantly surprised. Initially the service wasn't great but this Improved as the evening progressed and the lady taking the food orders and bringing the meals out was very friendly. We both ordered the pie and mash and it was absolutely delicious and a generous portion for a reasonable price. Glad we went here. If you like good old fashioned Pub Grub, give this place a try.

Stayed for two nights with some family had a nice laid back atmosphere. And the staff where all really nice. Food was also great for the price.

I was a little ruff on my first review. Admitting it was all on par with the truth. Certain circumstances main contribute to the situation.I have had many Steak meal here & only one ever not great. Now that's good.I did have the Best" steak sandwich last night & the steak was far from being best or good. But there' always room for a bad day.But

Just brilliant! Service by Kristin, Lisa and Jane and their staff was absolutely fantastic. Steaks were so tender, and cooked as requested. Used to frequent the Balaclava in Cairns but gave up on them years ago do to their awful service by the restaurant manager who was simply rude (rest of staff were great, just the manager) and the inability to Ccook a steak as requested. The best yet, if possible, please send these staff to Balaclava to teach the staff there about service and how to cook a steak PROPERLY! Thank you! Very highly recommended!
