Kangaroo Island Cabins

Quiet location, great service, cabins a bit dated and in need of a few touchups/repairs. Very clean and serviceable.

Very nice location. We didn’t see any kangaroos near or around our cabin but we saw a lot of them on the island. Checking in and out was very easy. Bed was comfortable, extra blanket provided. The only issue was that every night the power would trip out as soon as we put the kettle on. We found that we had to do everything one at a time. We made toast and then put the kettle on because if we did both at the same time the power would trip off. That got quite annoying, having to work around the issue of power outages but other than that all was good.

Rooms need a little tidy up especially bathroom drain a little damp smell no problem though perfectly hot showers

This is a first for me to leave a low rating but to say I was disappointed would be an understatement.Firstly the room was clean, toilet/ bathroom clean and well stocked and at first glance the rooms looked good but then come time for bed and it went down hill fast.The main mattress is completely worn out and only one of us could sleep on because event time one person moved it would collapse. The mattress is blood stained and has no washable protector on it, the quilt has no cover and appears dirty. There is clear indication of water leaking in the roof and black mould visible in the bathroom and main room. Floor around the bedside tables is filthy and clearly never cleaned. We couldn't open the windows due to large holes in all the screens that let thousands of mozzies in, we resorted to going and buying mozzies coils to burn in the hut to slow the mozzies down.Ending on a positive, the A/C worked well and there is a heater in the room if staying during winter. Whilst the pressure wasn't great there was plenty of hot water for everyone to shower and plenty of body soap provided.I wouldn't stay again without knowing there has been some serious upgrades, the overall stay was disappointing mostly because we came from W.A and everything else on the Island has been such high quality.

Brilliant place to stay. Bang in the middle of nature - kangaroos, kookaburras, blue wrens all in your doorstep and only five minutes drive from middle of Kingscote. All amenities required to cook and eat with provided. Very comfie bed, proper stive with grill and oven, full fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster, electric jug. Tv with Netflix and You Tube. Great price too.

Our second stay here. Close to Kingscote and basically central to go to other island locations. Nice country bush setting in a quiet location. Owners responsive to any needs. Cabins contain everything you need for a good stay on KI.

We are here for 3 nights. Cabins on a large property. 5 in a row, distanced and private. Clean and tidy, spacious enough. Facilities in cabin are great. We are not far from Kingscote itself, so a good position to be in. Book book book people.

The rooms very spotlessly clean, great Wi Fi for teenage kids + plenty of power points to recharge the kids devices. The r/c air conditioner got the room warm in minutes, we had micro wave, stove, tv, in essence everything we needed. Being minutes outside Kingscote meant we saw Kangaroos, rabbits etc as we drove down the driveway at night after Dinner. Excellent !

Basic cabin. Unfortunately no veranda at the door to give some protection from the elements. Ants are a huge problem . They got into our bed and clothing in cupboards. Wildlife visits were a bonus. Very quiet location idea for resting up. Thank you
