Lotus Chinese Restaurant
Travelling through Coonabarabran for work and some of the other reviewer's photos from Lotus looked appetising so we decided to give it a shot! Got the sweet sour pork and Mongolian beef lunch specials and both were super great. Hot, tasty, with excellent fried rice. Decently priced, and a good sized serving. It was very quiet when we went for lunch, and the service was friendly, helpful, and quick. Nice views of the golf course too.

Food delivered on time and was hot. Szechuan steak was hot and spicy and Mongolian Lamb very tasty. Highly recommend.

Passing through Coonabarabran staying at Caravan Park. Read reviews and decided to try it. From the minute the phone was answered to eating. Awesome food awesome service. Lovely friendly staff. Well done

Booked the restaurant one month ago for 7pm, only to be told upon arrive, “no food on the table until 8.00”.Rubbish service and unbelievable rudeness from their uneducated staff. Probably dogged a bullet by not having to sample their dubious food. Please give this a miss unless totally, totally desperate or you like poor staff.We went to the Golden Sea Dragon who understand the meaning of good service. Worth a try - great food.

Having first tried the Golden Sea Dragon Chinese Restaurant and walking out utterly disappointed with the food and service, and rudeness of the woman at reception, I was recommended by some locals to give Lotus Chinese Restaurant a go. From day dot, the quality of food, standard of customer service and prices matched that of Sydney (unlike some of the highly inflated prices you can get in some pubs and restaurants around the region). And ever since day dot, I've been a regular. During Covid, the restaurant saw a huge increase of takeaway orders, which meant wait time was sometimes a bit longer than usual, so it was great to see that this restaurant had the support of locals. I would highly recommend any out-of-towners, or those new to the area, to give this place a go. A++

We sat outside looking out across the beautiful greens and had a very good Chinese meal. Staff were delightful and observed covid safe service.We had Szechuan beef said to be extra hot but wasn't although very tasty. Also had delicious boc choy in ginger and a seafood sizzle platter that was slightly hot and a little sweet with lots of veggies.

Lotus Chinese Restaurant
Very slow. Ordered 5 dishes included rice. Over the space of 2hrs hour we received the rice first and then nothing else for over 30mins. The last dish arrived at almost 1.6hrs. Ridiculous service do not dine in, they prioritize takeaway. Gave us the wrong meat in at least one dish, delivered the wrong meal. Very small town so not much on offer.
