Just love this place everything inside the doors are just the way god intended. All the old school country style pies and cakes. Live in Sydney and folks live in Merewether. Coming up and down I stop here everytime for a pie and cake. If they are closed (Sundays) the drive back to Sydney is depressing. I would even love to open a pie shop in Sydney and take the pies and cakes back every day. Chelsea bun is delicious on and on

Not Barry's pies New owner and it's RUINED. All beef pies are mostly gravy minimal meat The seafood Mornay was so salty that even the seagulls at the nearby boat ramp didn't eat it. That's alot of salt, it too was so thickened with cornflour and minimal seafood.The pies fall apart but the pastry was flaky and nice

Excellent bakery pies, cakes all fantastic. If your in the Blacksmiths, Swansea area and are looking for a great feed do not go past this bakery, and yes the breads are top notch too.

Best pies in Newcastle. Worth the drive if you love a meaty pie with plenty of filling and just right pastry. Excellent old school gramma pie too which are hard to find.Cash only, no plastic.

Good old style bakehouse. Great pies and sausage rolls especially the chilli sausage roll. Go for a French vanilla slice the best in newy without a doubt.
