Grotto Point Aboriginal Rock Engravings
These rock carvings are quite faint, but very easy to find. There is actually a boardwalk that goes from the main bush track that takes you right up to them, and they are clearly signposted with an explanation of what it is, along with a sketch. The great thing with that is it stops people from accidentally walking over the carvings. Carved into what I believe is sandstone, the carvings are slowly fading away over the years, but you can still make out its original shape.

You can surely see the etched markings in the sandstone. All are framed by wood beams.

This is a fantastic place with interesting rock art. But it's terrible to see people and whole tour groups stepping off the path and walking over the precious engravings. Signs protecting the site should be larger and in different languages.

Disappointed to see this amazing engravings left very much unprotected. NPNSW need to find a away to keep these amazing works open to the public but protected to stop people walking over them. Worth the short detour off the main Spit to Manly track.
