The Cartmill Centre
They let their horses drown when it floods. Last time only got saved by a local council member. Known nationally by other RDA facilities for the drownings. Council has provided them a place to keep the horses out of floodwater but never used. As others have said, they padlock the gates during flooding and then bemoan that they lost their horses and need donations.

I called this morning to see if they are open. I am a disability support worker and wanted to take a client to see the horses and seriously i am all for supporting local businesses but the lady I spoke to was so rude and extremely unprofessional so I guess you have lost business because of your attitude

Great place for those with a disability to enjoy and participate. The Riding is amazingly calming and relaxing for them. Staff are friendly and love assisting those with a disability.

Great service. However if you have an assistance dog you won't be able to watch riding. You need to keep dog away

Amazingly well catered for with side walkers when necessary. All facilities are wheelchair accessible.

Absolutely wonderful group of staff and clients, total pleasure being there with Ulysses Glass house mountains brach to give motorcycle rides. Well done to staff, you are amazing!

Sadly this facility continues to endangers the lives of these horses trusted into their care by abandoning them in times of floods when they could heed weather and council warnings and safely move the horses to higher grounds that council has provided for these horses to be safe during these heavy rain periods they continue to ask for public funds when they donot care enough for these horses and padlock the gates with horses standing in one meter of water this was witnessed by over 20 different people 3 who rescued these horses whilst the management of the facility left them totally unattendedMany of these horses are in need of attenion
