Good cafe in terrific location. Views over the valley in old style house surrounded by huge trees. Service was friendly professional and the scrambled eggs with sausage was excellent. My friend had banana bread and coffee. Also ladies/Gents facilities. Recommend.

People say it’s a tourist trap, but as a tourist I loved it. The atmosphere and view is perfect with Parisian art deco vibes. The food was nice enough and the staff very friendly. However I think we’re smarter than single use plastic butters per customer. Would love to see my toast already buttered in the future.

Friendly. Great coffee and beautiful cheesecake. Mostly we appreciated the welcoming friendly staff. All three girls that served us were wonderful.

It’s is an absolutely beautiful cafe with stunning views . Male manager who sat us was very abrupt which was off putting initially, however the rest of the staff seemed lovely and we didn’t see him again . Looking at the other reviews it seems like he is always that way , unusual for someone in hospitality. Food was expensive, most meals were $30-$40 for lunch . Although it looked like the portion size was good . I could easily go halves with a partner on the meal . Chips were great , as was the homemade iced tea . If you are happy to pay a small premium for the lovely views and won’t be out off by a slightly grumpy manager then definitely worth a visit .

This is a beautiful cafe in a lovely setting amongst the trees and it has a nice atmosphere. I’ve eaten here a few times over the years and have always enjoyed the food.I recently stopped in for afternoon tea and even though the food was delicious and well made, unfortunately I probably won’t go back because the prices are ridiculous. $7.50 for a cup of coffee and $9 for a mug is absolutely horrendous. To then add an additional $1.50 charge for alternate milks is Highway robbery. I hope the prices undergo a review as I’d love to go back one day.

Such a beautiful Cafe. The view from the verandah is amazing. The service from the staff is always awesome. And the food and drinks are excellent. Went in for lunch today and had the gnocchi. It was so delicious and such a lovely experience.

What a delightful cafe to visit. The style of the cafe, the staff, the food all were amazing. The staff were attentive to every customer to the cafe. The food was delicious. My partner and I had the trio of dips and bread, and the grilled chicken baguette. The flavors of the dip shone out and burst in your mouth. The baguettes were sooooo fresh.The style of the cafe was like a French cafe and the view out over the balcony was astonishing.If you are making a trip to Montville. I would highly recommend this cafe.

Perfect place for celebrating any event. Delicious choice of cakes, loved the apfelstrüdel, and nice breakfast. Great dirty chai, a mix of coffee and chai latte, probably one of the best I had. A bit pricey, $9.50 for a mug of cappuccino, but location, kind staff, and beautiful building make up for it.
