Montague Island Adventures & Charter Fish Narooma

I emailed them a week before my trip to ensure they had a wetsuit for my size(18-20) and they never replied.I booked the snorkel with the seals as I was worried I would miss out and then contacted them by phone a few days before to confirm my size wetsuit.I was told they could not accommodate my size and I was provided a refund.This company is not inclusive and made me very upset.They are also known to take risks with weather and put passengers safety at risk as seem on the Narooma news Jan 4th.Very grateful that I went with another provider.

This company changed the time of our tour which resulted us not being able to snorkel with the seals. We were only provided $25 refund out of $150 and we had to book with a different tour company the next day (paying another $100 each).We asked the company for a fair refund to which they said no, were quite rude and hung up on me multiple times.Do not recommend this company.

Absolutely amazing experience, led by experienced and professional staff.I rate this snorkelling experience better (or at the very least on par with) any Great Barrier Reef experience I've undertaken.A huge variety of fish to be seen and the Seals were unbelievably amazing, happily interacting with us in the the crystal clear water.The vessel and snorkelling equipment including wet suits, were all of high quality and well maintained.This is a must do activity if you are ever in the region. 10/10

Booked the morning 6 hr fishing trip. Great trip out, caught a good few flathead, wrasse. Had a crackinng run of kingfish but none big enough to keep. Crew are brilliant and the spectacle with the sea lions and rays back at shore while the fish were being skinned is a show in itself!

TLDR: Do not miss the experience of swimming with the seals! But I recommend going with any of the several other charter companies in Narooma.- Tour left an hour later than advertised (12:45 instead of 11:45).- First snorkelling session was cancelled.- Disembarking to the island was sketchy, the skipper crashed the port side of the boat into a pylon breaking the waist door.- When we re-embarked from the island, the skipper told us that they had lost their anchor and that the afternoon snorkelling was cancelled.- They gave us a $25 refund on a $150 tour, without even getting our wetsuits wet.When we challenged them on it, they became hostile and made a bunch of excuses. Blamed the weather forecast, the cost of the island tour (it’s run by volunteers and state park employees), that we had been rude to people in town (??). They might add a bunch in reply to this review.We re-booked a snorkel tour with another company the next day, Narooma Charters (cheaper as well). It was an amazing experience, 100% recommend it - just not with Montague Island Adventures.

From first enquiry, to changing bookings (due to weather), to the crew on the day, we thoroughly enjoyed the half day reef fishing charter. Efficient, friendly, knowledge staff, kit and boat in good condition, good safety focus. Ended a day with a bagful of delicious feed for the family. Recommended.

Really great tour of Montague Island. We were doing some pretty high speeds to get to the island on time as a tourist was late... But luckily we didn't have to make up much time on land. The NPS ranger (Ray) was very knowledgeable and although due to covid we could not enter the lighthouse, there was still plenty to see. There were about 18 penguins the night we went and they are the highlight of the evening. Well worth every dollar.

We did the seal snorkel trip and it was excellent. Alot of pups were very young and didn't get in but the guys made sure we went to another location so had a great swim with adults and a few pups. Great experience

I must say they were remarkable, One of our earlier tour operator made a fiasco our planned tour to Montague Island. This operator came to rescue and helped us accommodating on their boat. Staff was helpful, prompt and joyous. very well managed business.
