Blackman Park
Fantastic 'hidden' park, with a massive artificial grass area as well as natural grass, proper dressing rooms and toilet areas, great lighting and enough parking spaces. Parking lot needs a revamp though as it gets pretty messy when busy. Overall, this park gives you that 'away from the city' feel, just great.

Cool place, especially when you like planes as most planes going to Kingsford fly over the park. It does get crowded on weekends though.

Blackman Park is a bit like an onion. When you first arrive, there's the first layer such as the artificial pitch, grassy field and dog area. However the other layers it offers if you visit the off-beaten paths 1) near the smaller dog play area and 2) just past the kids playground towards the rear of the park, are some beautiful bush walks that are not too difficult or far to complete. There's also the Lane Cove River just past the dog areas but are less accessible. On weekends, it can be difficult to gain entrance (only one car entrance) or find parking if there's a sports event on.

Blackman Park is a combination of outdoor multi sport facilities synthetic and grass) as well as playgrounds, running/ bike paths, an enclosed dog park as well as natural bush areas which have bush walking trails which are easily accessible and not difficult to traverse. The Lane Cove River is located behind the dog park areas, but there is limited access. There is only one entrance into the complex by vehicle. On weekends, it can be difficult to get in or find parking if there's a sports event on due to the high volume of traffic. Off peak times, there are no issues with parking. There are two playgrounds to keep the kids occupied, sandstone animals, and 2 outdoor gym areas located along the running track. On weekends there is a canteen running to cater for sports. There is also the Puppy Tail Cafe situated in close proximity to the dog parks, which also sells dog treats.Accessibility to most areas via wheelchair or mobility aids is easy.

We come here mostly to walk a dog. The dog park main area is still under construction. Overall, the park is a great place for kids to play on the equipment, for dogs to run and play with their furry friends.

Great place for dog walking. On leash dogs allowed to go bush walking. Dogs allowed to play off leash but rules apply near sporting field. There is plenty of parking on site. There is a picnic area with plenty of picnics areas and wooden BBQs.

Great open space. Perfect for dogs. 2 enclosed off-leash dog areas (1 for small, 1 for larger dogs) - one with agility equipment, and the lower field (not enclosed) is also an option when sports are not on. Great little cafe here too that also caters for dogsPictured: @ziggy.the.spitz (IG)

Nice short bush trails that lead to a large sports ground with a well-maintained dog park.Plenty of shaded areas and seats. Great for walks, runs, or just to have nice a picnic. Ample of car spaces too.All the dogs were friendly and my corgi had a good time.
