Perfect place to picnic on the grass & enjoy the fish & chips. Lots and lots of food & drink & dessert options. Plus lots of seating options, inside & out, if you forgot your picnic blanket.Highly recommended on a sunny Canberra day.

We went to The DeckThis place was incredibleFrom the service where the waiter was so friendly and helpful.We ordered our meals within 5 minutesOur drinks were out promptly.The food only took 15 minutes.The food was delicious.I was so happy with this placeDate night ticked and no issues.

Attended a birthday party for my wife. The prawn cutlets and chips were a little dry but OK for the price. The aircon in the enclosed area was a bit cold for me but the view is great and the venue is very popular since the renovations

Great spot sit out on the water and eat traditional fish and chips. April is lobster month with great deals. Make sure you book a table and ask for a scenic view. We had fish and chips and crumb prawns, which is another name for fried shrimp. Great service, clean surroundings. Nice place to have lunch. Ling was the fish of the day when we were there.

It’s always perplexed me how Canberra shrinks from the lake, with vast open areas of parkland, but so few places to sit down, eat, and enjoy the view.Finally, there’s an answer and it’s a cracker, Snapper and Co at the Southern Cross Yacht Club at Yarralumla.There’s long been a place here in Summer where you could buy fish and chip, a beer and sit on the lawns, but it’s now been fully revamped into a superb offering.As well as fish and chips, there’s now a range of decent quality meals and a huge choice of beers on tap.You now have the choice of more formal dining on the deck, order at the bar and sit at the tables, or order at the bar and sit in the lawn with the kids and dogs and add this to your own picnic.Every option is now covered, and the food is good, well-priced and comes out fast.

Tried the Crumbed Fish and Chips. Perfectly thin fried batter with a generous portion of fish underneath and chips. Enjoyed the meal while being treated to an amazing view overlooking Lotus bay. For those who choose to sit outside, be wary of birds attempting to steal your food. Other than that, I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a decent fish and chips with a view.

Absolutely fantastic food. Fish is so fresh. Our last 2 visits to Canberra January and June 2023. We have eaten here for lunch each day. Staff are friendly and the views of Lake Burley Griffin are fabulous. Definitely worth the visits..

Would I come back?...Yes but not because of the food. The newly renovated Snapper & Co. Has such an awesome atmosphere. The amount of families and groups of friends, either at the restaurant or with takes and sitting by the lake, was a lot. Really good vibes and I would come back for that. Also to try the other food as the fish and chips were a bit eh...We got the two person fish and chips. The battered was better than the crumbed but overall, the food was bland. The chips tasted quite hard.They do have other meals available, like pizza and burgers. I would be intrigued to try them.Also, if you spend more than $20, you can get your parking validated. Something to keep in mind as the sign out of the front door parking looks like it's just for members.
