Silvana is a fab host, cook and teacher. My daughter absolutely enjoyed the Ravioli making. They even catered to our vegetarian tastes. It was conducted in a very calm & comfortable atmosphere, it almost felt like home. Maria's (Silvana's Mom) expertise and stories from Italy were lovely and enjoyable. Highly recommend this to everyone....and it was a great bonding event for us. Thanks both!!

Our mushroom foraging experience was wonderful. It was a great day, we learned a lot, and we walked away with our body weight in saffron and grey knight mushrooms. We’ll be coming back next season and bringing friends and family to join in.

Pizza making class with Silvana was extra YUM!. Kind and thoughtful instruction made it super fun for my teenage boys to get hands on cooking experience. They have gained incredible knowledge and skills from a beautiful genuine Italian family. Fifth Ave Katoomba - What a fabulous small business! I encourage you to check it out. You, your taste buds and tummy will be glad you did. Thanks Silvana for another great class.

My wife and I had a wonderful afternoon at the Taste of Italy" event as part of the Equinox Festival. Silvana and family made us feel welcome with their generous hospitality as we tasted the delicious Italian treats they had prepared. We really enjoyed hearing about the local origins of the ingredients and spending an afternoon immersed in Italian family culture. Our family loved the fresh bread and gift hamper we purchased."

We did a cooking class with Silvana and Maria and had a WONDERFUL time! We had ages 4 to 67 all catered for and able to participate. Silvana also was able to accommodate vegan and vegetarian diets which was greatly appreciated! Sharing the meal we made with the ladies was a highlight and not to mention super tasty! We will definitely do this again when next in Katoomba or surrounds.

Mushroom foraging in the Blue Mountains with Silvana and her family was amazing and great fun.The accommodation is incredibly tidy and cosy.They had such great customer service from start to finish. They were very attentive and careful during the journey through the forest. The highlight was cooking up our freshly foraged Saffron MilkCaps into a delicious meal once we were home. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely afternoon ,with beautiful Italian food. The company was delightful and great conversation was enjoyed. We loved seeing the garden at the back of the house where ...there was a variety of food production...fruit and vegetables. It was a very enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon

Fifth Ave Katoomba Retreat
In 2022, I had a two catered lunches at this venue - a Christmas in July and a Ferragusto lunch. The food was Italian and it was superb. Delicious, healthy and varied. Drinks were included too. I had a wonderful time on both occasions. I didn't know the other guests beforehand, but we all got along famously. Thank you to the hostesses, Silvana and Toni. I highly recommend the venue and the catering. Two pleasant afternoons in the quiet, beautiful Blue Mountains.
