AVIDO RISTORANTE
Fantastic decor and the service was great. Very quiet on the weeknight I went and we only ate zucchini flowers and chili oil spaghetti. The zucchini flowers were ok albeit a bit too salty, the pasta was delicious!

Really surprised by this place. Really friendly service and lovely decor. Food is also really. The prawn and squid pasta was a real standout. Would happily have that again the very next day.The bruschetta was a let down though. While fresh they were just too small.

We walked past Avido on our arrival in Orange and seeing how busy it was, we made a booking for tonight with high expectations. Sadly, those expectations were not met.Things didn't start well when the first 2 bottles of white wine ordered weren't available. Then due to a mixup, the 3rd bottle was a red (which my wife can't drink due to the higher histamine level) not a white. The mixup was corrected and we ended up with a very nice local pinot gris.Shared entrees were a nice burrata along with what turned out to be the smallest bruschetta we've seen.The mains turned up however the entree plates had not been taken away. The waitress attempted to put the main plates in front of us as we were hurriedly trying to make some space!My wife enjoyed her main of chilli prawns and my son was happy with his pork cutlet with eggplant parmigiana. My chicken diavola however was on the dry side and had very little hint of the hot spices mentioned on the menu while the fennel salad was nice.Desserts were also hit & miss - my pannacotta with pistachio praline & strawberries was lovely while the others had the tiramisu which appeared to be 75% whipped cream, didn't seem to be any mascarpone in them.Hit & miss dishes with average service ... won't be rushing back to Avido the next time we're in Orange.

Wonderful selection on the menu. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Beautifully decorated with a definate Italian theme. Service was so quick cheerful and helpful staff very efficient.

Love the decor. Great service. Generous portion of fish and it was really nice & moist, perfectly cooked, along with the white wine sauce, well balanced. The pork was crunchy and moist but really need to work on the sauce… burrata mozzarella was alright, nothing special if compare to the wine library.

Can't really be called an Italian restaurant in my opinion. It is an Italian fusion restaurant. Only 3 pastas on the menu, all of which are whitewashed, basic and unauthentic. No gnocci. No lambrusco. No Italians working. Staff however were very kind and helpful and atmosphere was beautiful. The restaurant itself was stunning. Its just not really an Italian one.

Entrees were really delicious but greatly disappointed with the main pasta dish. Chili prawns an marinated squid, don’t bother. No taste, 6 small frozen prawns and could not hardly find any squid, two thin slithers. Plain spaghetti and was cold with a few small tomatoes. Tasty salad and very creamy tiramisu.

Had a $55 set menu dinner and dessert as part of a fairly large group. Food was delicious and I was suprised how much there was; we were all stuffed at the end - great value for money. Staff were lovely and vibes were good. Will definitely return
