Jay installed our new shower, double sink and outdoor shower, including installing a new hot water system. He also found and fixed some leaks in our ceiling. He was honest, reliable, reasonably priced and we are very happy with the result! We will definitely use Jay again.

Our experience was not great. Our job had two phases. The first stage could have been done over a couple of days but Jay stretched it out over a couple of weeks. Not the end of the world so we promptly paid him. When the fit-out stage was ready to go it took two months to get the work done from the time of my first contact with Jay. Over both phases of the job there were literally dozens of instances where we were told by Jay he would be coming, but he just never showed up. There were even a few occasions where Jay would urgently make contact and say “can I come around now please?” and he would just never show, leaving us scratching our heads. We found it pretty unprofessional and disrespectful. We were as nice to this guy as we could be to get the job over and done with, but he just kept going on with the cliché flakey tradey act. And you guessed it, when the work was “done” he started begging for payment on his invoice even before 4 or 5 days before the due date stated on the invoice. Yeah nah I wasn't in the mood to pay promptly like the with the other trades. Nice enough guy, but there was just something really off about the way services are delivered and the communication. Might be fine for your small one-off job if he shows up, but I can’t recommend him for anything substantial unless you really like pulling teeth. So far as the plumbing goes, during installation we had one instance of the toilet blowing water everywhere, another of a fridge water supply shooting everywhere which were both very avoidable, but the taps etc seem to be going OK. Couple of sloppy bits around some of the pipes but for the most part everything seems to be working.

Jay has just completed works in my laundry. He was on time, reasonably priced and kept me updated with what he was doing. The best part is that he was considerate of cleaning up and not leaving a mess. Easy to schedule in and very professional. I would recommend Jay :)

I can highly recommend Jay Sutton for all plumbing and gas needs. Over the years Jay has always offered outstanding service and has been prompt to attend when I have called. Jay has replaced my hot water system, installed a new gas stove and attended to all my house plumbing needs. He explains all the procedures relating to the work and is reasonable in his quotes. I will continue to call upon Jay when needed, for as long as his business continues.

Jay did a great job fixing a leak in our loo, as well as giving an honest appraisal of a leak in our old storage hot water system (namely that it might all fall apart during repair and isn't worth it!). Price was very reasonable too so wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

I was recommended by a friend to Jay 6 years ago, I have used him ever since . He is a very nice person to have in your house, does excellent work and is always there when he says he will be, if running late will contact you.I really recommend Jay, and many friends have been well satisfied also

We used Jay for our bathroom renovation which was a fairly complex job, completely gutting a 1940’s bathroom, including preparing for the demo, moving the service locations for a slab re-lay and chasing new pipes into the wall before the final fit out. Jay completed the work with no fuss and was professional and knowledgeable. The job turned out perfectly. The price seemed very reasonable. We will use Jay again.

Jay was quick to provide an email quote and attend my property to replace a leaking kitchen tap. Quality product and great value for money. Highly recommended and will certainly use him in the future.
