Whale Beach Guest House

I stayed here with my family earlier this year for four days and found everything was perfect. We were very well looked after, with a very friendly, kind and helpful host. The rooms were very clean and fresh and the proximity to Avalon Village was excellent as we had gone up for a wedding. My kids had their own room and felt spoilt as they had their own bathroom and TV. For the price we paid we considered it very reasonable. We felt very welcome, the accommodation was lovely, the location is paradise and we would love to return.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Whale Beach B and B. It was very clean and comfortable. We loved the close proximity to a number of beaches and cafes. The owners where helpful and friendly. Our teenage son loved the wi-fi and tv in his room and we all enjoyed the family veranda with BBQ. Great place, I would highly recommend.

Elaine and Ted are the most charming hosts - ever! Our family has stayed at Whale Beach Bed and Breakfast on numerous trips to Sydney. They offer amazing value for money and always go the extra mile when it comes to looking after their guests. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Whale Beach B&B is located close to the beach - and a few minutes drive from the cool beachside village of Avalon. Everything is at your doorstep.We have stayed at many, many hotels and accommodation all over the world and you would find it hard to better this place. Elaine and Ted will really look after you and your family and make your stay great fun.

We stayed at Whale Beach B&B in August last year and had a great time. The local area is great for walking, beach stuff and great restaurants. Our room was very clean and tidy and great value for money. The hosts are very friendly and looked after us very well. We hope to be back soon.

We, as a family, had the pleasure of staying at Whale Beach B&B for the occasion of our son's wedding in November, 2015.As we live on the mid north coast of NSW we arranged the booking online, obviously sight unseen. We needed something close to Whale Beach and Moby Dick's and it had to be roomy enough to house 10 adults and a 2 year old over the course of this very special weekend. Whale Beach B&B filled all of these requirements.When we arrived Elaine and Ted showed us through and explained about the property and its features. Each bedroom had its own ceiling fan, TV and small fridge - but most importantly of all, its own en-suite. This was exceedingly handy, especially when everyone was getting ready simultaneously, including the groom, best man, 2 groomsmen and a flower girl!!The bedrooms were all very roomy with plenty of storage space. The living/dining/kitchen area was enhanced by opening up double glass doors onto the verandah area. There were plenty of seats/lounges etc, including a well stocked kitchen.The whole place, including the Garden Retreat, was very clean and tidy and there was even a washing machine tucked away under the stairs. The hosts were very unobtrusive over the duration of our stay - but one special point has to be duly noted.Our daughter misplaced 4 rings on the night of the wedding and even though we searched high and low we couldn't locate them. I mentioned this to Elaine when we left and she said that they would look out for them. Lo and behold, a couple of weeks later, Elaine phoned to tell us they had found them. They were on a high shelf and had obviously been pushed to the back where it was impossible to see them.As you can imagine out daughter was ecstatic as they were sentimental to her and were quite valuable.From our point of view, this was one very important facet of our stay. The honesty and integrity shown by both Elaine and Ted was very much appreciated.For that one main reason, but others also, we would thoroughly recommend Whale Beach B&B to any prospective guests. We also wouldn't hesitate to stay there again in the future.Thanks again Elaine and Ted for your hospitality. We hope to see you again one day.Bill and Sue.

cozy place, nice decor, friendly landlords. walkable to shops and close to the beaches too.

Whale Beach House has been beautifully renovated by it’s new owners.We rented the house + the cute little studio out the back for the weekend, and had an amazing stay.We had cocktail hour on the back deck and the weather was warm so we swam in mineral pool, which was divine!The house it’s self is spacious with everything you could possibly need for a summer getaway.Only a few minutes from Whale Beach (great coffee at the little caravan near the Surf club), Palm Beach (palm beach light house walk is a must) Avalon and Clareville (the best spot for sunset)

No one should contemplate doing business with these people as they are dishonest crooks. I booked a week at this place at an already outrageous $150 per night in order to attend a friend's 50th birthday. I paid 2 nights deposit Unfortunately I was struck down and hospitalized with a very serious illness - Dengue Fever. I was shocked to learn that despite my immediate timely and apologetic cancellation, they kept the 2 night deposit. I was even more shocked to learn recently that these dirty thieves managed to take another $500 off my Visa card with no authority from me whatsoever. These crooks are a disgrace to the Australian Hospitality industry. will also be complaining to Visa and anyone else I can find.Stayed January 2013

Had a fantastic stay for 1 week. Hosts wew very helpful. Stayed in the garden retreat. Very close to everything and public transport was at the end of the road. Room was clean and very quaint. Will come back again
