Could not take a link out of watch and put it back together. Had watch for 3 hours and gave back in pieces claiming special tool was needed for a simple Seiko. Did not bother to call but instead told me when watch was due to be picked up.

They did an incredible job resizing my rings but unfortunately charged me more than the quoted price (that I checked twice) and did the work without asking if I was happy to pay more than was quoted.

After keeping my bracelet for over month for a repair quote... the owner calls back and brushes me aside not wanting to take on the job, complaining it's too worn and fixing it could be well over $80. It's a simple solder job! I landed up getting it fixed quickly and promptly for $35 at a jeweller in Mont Albert. I just wished I didn't waste my time heading to Browns in the first place. The front desk workers are friendly and lovely though but the owner is really rude and unhelpful.

Would NOT recommend them. If I could give no stars I would.I went to them for a simple ring re-sizing and they RUINED A FAMILY HEIRLOOM.As discussed, they charged me for adding gold to do a simple resizing. Instead, they just stretched out the end of the band. The band now looks thinner and uneven.In the process, they somehow managed to also damage the original shape of the ring.Conclusion: take your business and heirlooms elsewhere!

Our extended family have been customers of Browns for over 40 years and have had complete faith and satisfaction with either our purchases or the many, many repairs that have been done. These include remodeling of various rings to better accommodate arthritic knuckles etc. Mr Brown explained to us that added metal would be required as the rings were worn and quite thin and slightly misshapen. This was done beautifully without damage to either the setting or to the stones.I cannot imagine going anywhere else as we trust Brown's completely.

I just purchased an engagement ring for our upcoming engagement and future wedding. I was able to get what we needed, and at the right price. The good thing. I was able to trade in some old jewellery towards the purchased price. Which I found was helpful.
