This store sells golliwogs and undermines the racially charged history of the dolls with a simpering, half truthful story about their manufacturing origins. Consider this before supporting.

Pretty weird experience. When looking at all this woodwork, the only thing in the whole store that is not timber related is a table full of golliwogs and a sign explaining how they're not racist. Please do some research on golliwog dolls. What a shame for the Richmond people, Palawa people and Tasmania as a whole. What a disgrace. Please take it down, It's just really mean and gross.

You will be amazed from all the art work in this store. Everything is handmade at the verity of different things in the store can make you want it all. Prices are sometimes on the higher end, but with everything being handmade it is understandable. I wanted a small souvenir from my visit to Tasmania and this store was just what I was looking for. The woman who worked at the shop was very friendly and helpful. Apparently you can also submit online orders as well. Definitely worth a visit if you are happen to be visiting in Richmond, Tasmania.

That amazing Hobart yacht race (with what looks like Gabo Island). If this was bought and donated to the Mallacoota community after Black Summer of 2019/2020 I’m sure it would be cherished forever.

Racist shop. Who genuinely sells golliwogs in 2023? Everyone knows they have racist and anti black origins but apparently it doesn’t matter to them. They mask it as Australian culture and childhood memories on the tags. Also selling them for $100+ that’s ridiculous not only racist but profiting off racism too?? Left such a bad taste in my mouth and is super offensive. Don’t buy from here as long as they sell these anti black dolls. Selling racist dolls shows they are insensitive and don’t have any critical thinking skills. Days of racism should be put behind us and this is an easy step to stop selling golliwogs

Gorgeous little shop full of wood creations from local wood makers. The shop lady was absolutely lovely and showed us the wooden puzzles on display. Good variety of wood pieces and definitely worth a look if you’re in the area

A very cute little shop that sells handmade wood items. There's also wood puzzles which is pretty interesting!
