Darra Motel & Conference Centre

I was REALLY disappointed with my stay here.I have stayed at quite a numberous motels. I booked through Expedia at a discounted rate but pay at the property. When I arrived at the property the manager was very cold and not welcoming at all. He charged me for the room at the full price. The room was definitely not what I expected. Absolutely basic and well over priced. The door key did not work and twice I had to ask for assistance to get on to the room. I felt like the manager was doing me a big favour by helping. I would not recommend this motel for the individual traveller. In addition the relentless noise from the highway was mind numbing

Last minute booking at this Motel and both my husband and I were very impressed with how clean the room was. The bed was comfortable and the staff were very lovely. The restaurant was faultless and the manager even sat with us for a chat which was so nice and made us feel very welcome. We decided to book a second night rather than explore somewhere else like we intended because it was so nice. Even though it was by the motorway and I see people saying it was noisy we didn’t seem to notice it at all. Will definitely stay again.

Was very happy with our stay here, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The meal we had from the restaurant was close to the best we have had on our travels. The manager ?? Was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The chef was also a friendly gentleman.

Recently stayed with some girlfriends for a weekend getaway. Great location, rooms were very clean with comfortable beds and well appointed bathrooms. The conference facilities were excellent. Meals at the restaurant were very good and pleasant, friendly staff.

Stayed for work. The rooms were clean and comfortable.The staff were professional, kind and keen to have a laugh.The food is excellent and the portion sizes are very generous and the location is very convenient

Very good service, Paul was very helpful at short notice in organising a room. One of the neatest things is whatever they use in the rooms for cleaning and sanitising smells awesome, the Bar and Restaurant make great food and have good ambience

I found this place to be value for money. The room we had was clean and neat, with a very comfortable bed, nice shower, aircon and Foxtel. The food in the restaurant was affordable. Most importantly, the service was great, and Paul the manager, was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere that offers good returns for your dollar, and great service.

The crew @ Darra motel and conference center are top notch.A friendly greeting at arrival was most welcoming, well groomed gardens and modern facilities made me feel at home. The rooms are crisp and neat with well chosen soaps, great tea/coffee facilities and fresh linen.Easy access and great rates definitely a good choice for business and personal use.Also Sid cooks up a great steak at the inhouse restaurant! Smiles all round!

Decent enough stay, would consider again.Pros: Affordable. Beds are decently comfortable. Shower was nice and hot, albeit a little lacking in pressure. On-site restaurant makes it easy to find somewhere to have a feed. Staff are helpful and accommodating, if a little blunt. I like no nonsense though, so it was great for me.Cons: it’s not very near anything touristy, if that’s your reason for visiting brisbane. I was there for work, which was just down the road, so location was great for that, but wouldn’t stay there if spending more time in the city. Rooms are VERY dated. Curtains didn’t close all the way, or at least had gaps on the side, so I was paranoid about people being able to see in. Thin walls too - I could hear old mate next door coughing his lungs out. The meal I had at the restaurant was a mix of really great food and some really bland food as well. Overall a little meh.It was a decent stay. Definitely don’t expect the ritz, but it serves its purpose. I’d definitely consider it in future, albeit probably not at the top of my list.

Great stay here. We had the cabin around the back, and even though it's close to the motor way the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night and the food was delicious, mixed grill was awesome. Will definitely stay again.
