Still absolutely disgusted in this business. Extremely poor quality job done at our property at the end of 2018. Absolutely no return contact to try to rectify the situation. Such a shame too because I have meet the owners wife at playgroup unaware of who she was at the time and she actually seemed nice. We live in the same very small town and our children will have to go to school together, not looking forward to that....Very very disappointing that this business is happy to blatantly rip people off.

MDB designed and provided a basic plan with a quotation for landscaping our front garden, after an on-site visit . We presented our thoughts including beds for flowering plants that would characterise our garden in the outer Ballarat city region.Because of the extreme variations in the weather here at 500m we were not keen to have timber or painted materials as outdoor features, preferring durable materials, pavers or stonework, that would stand up over time.Pictures to illustrate materials and colours were also included to assist us to choose the elements that could be used for the design. Corten steel box beds were made up to sit each side of the entrance and these added to the cost for the plan, soon finalised and accepted and then done in the autumn.We are very pleased with the design and the job included garden box beds, with soils and bark mulching for the garden beds. Everything was completed as expected and we are very pleased with the appearance a year later. With the many plants we put in now in flower and the front hedge under way it all presents a neat colourful space that enhances the property.Communication was fine, and the people good to work with. We understood that where quality materials were used it would cost more and that the quality of the decorative imported paver stones chosen could not be predicted.

Amazing landscaping and very neat gardens. Great advice.

My courtyard was transformed from an unsightly mass of weeds and grass to a very nice outdoor area. However, flood lights kept blowing, the perspex sheets came loose or fell off completely from a feature wall, and the concrete paint has peeled off around the edges. All this happened within one year of construction. The area now looks awful again. Despite emails I sent to ask the landscaper to fix it, all he did was ignore me once he got his money. I wouldn't do business with this company again.

Outstanding work, I would recommend MDB Landcaping, the results were worth the wait.

Mark and his crew recently did some extensive landscaping for me and I am extremely happy with the results so far. There are some minor remediation works to be finalised, and I am confident that they will be completed. I am looking forward to his help with Stage 2 of the garden renovations at some stage in the future

Would have never bothered writing a review as I believe word of mouth is best in a small country town.But after them having the audacity to send an email requesting nomination for Ballarat business excellence awards, my frustration has resurfaced with this business.Any business who has their reviews turned off onFacebook should be a red light in hindsight...OverchargedHarassingDishonestDon’t return phone calls after job is completeOur experience was quite pleasant from quote to job being almost completed, although the job was extremely overpriced (approx $2000), which wasn’t a problem at the time because we wanted to support a local business and get the job done before Christmas when everyone else was booked up. Also we were under the impression that the top quality turf from anco was being supplied. Turned out they use the cheap stuff from Bacchus Marsh. Then the disappointment really set in, harrasssing emails and messages for a few days requesting payment, even though they were aware my partner was in hospital having our baby 4 weeks early and most importantly the job wasn’t completed (pellets still to be removed)We noticed the quality of the turf looked wrong, patchy and different colours in areas. After 3-4 weeks this become a lot more noticeable and in the lighter area there was weeds coming through. This was when the customer service hit rock bottom, poor to say the least. I called Mark a couple of times with no return call so messaged asking if the turf came from anco Geelong his response was yes. Which was 100% not true, because after calling Anco equiring as to what the issue may be, they had wonderful customer service, asked for photos to be emailed which they promptly called back with an explanation that it looked like the turf was cut from two different paddocks which they don’t do, they checked back on invoices to make sure it wasn’t their product. Also informed me that the incorrect maintenance instructions were given from MBD. And agreed that it sounded like Bacchus Marsh product, so called them and they confirmed it was their product and it did look like it was from different paddocks, and that the younger lighter grass with weeds through it will need to be poisoned regularly to keep weeds from overgrowing. And we would just have to wait and see if the turf evened out over time. Which it hasn’t, it looks terrible. Such a massive waste of money. After numerous calls unreturned MDB landscaping are nothing but a rip off. They also deleted a comment on their Instagram photo of our lawn that complained about the poor job and unreturned calls. Stay away from this company

Very happy with MDB's garden design and construction. Garden maintenance, while satisfactory, can at times not be up to expected standard. More supervision, we believe, would improve this situation. Overall we are happy with the service provided.

Mark did a really great job for us. It included re-contouring, top dressing and laying new turf/lawn on one area and top dressing and re-seeding other areas - all done successfully. Also he created a new fernery under the decking which is coming along well. Other work included re-laying some old pavers and then laying a new extension of he paved area and also creating new vegetable beds.All done professionally, efficiently and with minimum disruption.

Mark landscaped our garden 5 years ago and met our needs completely. Since then Mark and his team have maintained my garden to a high standard and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Mark has also stained my outside timber deck for me and I am always pleased with the job he does. Nothing is too much for Mark and his is very obliging. His team of young men are very courteous and willing.
