I've known Jan for many years and just recently had a chance to get one of my complex grunge rock songs mixed by him. I found him to be very professional, reliable and trustworthy with attention to detail. The ability to go the extra mile and get the mix over line where i was happy was a massive bonus. It’s very rare I’ll write a review but I had one of the best experiences creating music with Yarn in such an amazing space. He creates such a calm environment to comfort the artist & really got the best out of me with this approach. He reads into the songs and inputs suggestions/prompts with wisdom. Not only that but his experience as an engineer is second to none. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend. The space is of world-class design, with acoustic treatment comparable to leading high-end studios. It is a comfortable, professional and inspiring studio to work in. The equipment is excellent. And Jan is a sensational engineer and producer. He is able to effortlessly engineer sounds to commercial quality. He also understands the nuance of the creative mind when in a studio environment and can help bring out the best in a performer. Highest of recommendations, I will be back for sure.

Jan is a very experienced engineer and amd very efficient paying close attention to detail. His studio is only a short, pleasant drive from Mullumbimby. I used samples on the track I did with him and he edited them so that they fitted in rhythmically, almost like they'd always been intended to be placed where they were ( even though the addition of the samples was somewhat last minute inspiration on my behalf). The Master he did of the final track was well worth it, Bringing out the sonic beauty, punch and making the track radio play friendly.Jan is a gifted, passionate, professional and easy to work with. His work is of a high quality. I can recommend his services and I intend to do so again at some stage in the future.
