The Mitchelton Hotel Nagambie

I stayed here last week and on leaving left 3 items in the wardrobe. On speaking to the staff it appears that 1 of these items, a black dress, appears to be missing. Given how small the wardrobe is any item would be hard to miss. Am still waiting for the management to call me back 3 days later. Hugely disappointing from a hotel of this supposed calibre. Am gutted about the dress which whilst not expensive had sentimental value.

My partner and I stayed here as a mini-honeymoon, in one of the rooms with a river view, and it was just wonderful. Such a beautiful and relaxing place, just the right distance from Melbourne for a long weekend. The room was so comfortable, the restaurant and wines excellent and would highly recommend the art gallery. No issues with climate control as others have stated, despite high temperatures. Just wish we had remembered bathers!

It's a beautiful modern setup in a very beautiful part of Victoria. The vineyards as you enter are stunning. The cellar door is alright, and the wines are hit and miss but it's free. The hotel is top class and the day spa is pretty good too. We were a bit let down by the food. It's very expensive, not that good, and no real choice if you're vegetarian. The aboriginal art gallery was spectacular. Overall it's a very good getaway not too far away from Melbourne.

great experience aside from terrible room service:Overpriced, came in uber-eats like packaging even though their restaurant is literally next door. Tiny servings, below average quality and were very unhelpful at front desk (they wouldn't let me order mayo for chips even though the coleslaw came slathered in it?)I sent them an email with feedback about this and never heard back - again, disappointing.That aside the property is lovely and majority of staff were great.

Restful, but celebratory weekend spent with friends. Modern rooms, tastefully fitted out. Country feeling, beautiful clean air, kangaroos and kookaburras abound. Almost all staff, especially Anita, went out of their way to ensure our stay was wonderful.

Mitchelton MGallery is a beautiful hotel located within the Mitchelton Wines estate. There is a cellar door, restaurant, cafe and art gallery on the large estate which make the whole experience amazing, this review is specific to the hotel though.The staff here are very friendly, helpful and accommodating with requests and tips for local activities etc too. The rooms are very well appointed and you get what you pay for, free wi-fi, in room speaker, a decent balcony you can enjoy, smart tv and more. There is a beautiful infinity pool which is staffed for drinks, towels etc too, that is very relaxing. They have good tracks near the river for walks and some good reading spots and decks placed around too.Room service is decent with food coming from the onsite restaurant and cafe too.Definitely recommend for a relaxed escape.

Our room was very clean, quiet and the complimentary wine on arrival was very pleasant.Highly recommended

My partner booked us for a two day trip to stay at the Mitchelton Hotel, as a surprise for my birthday. Firstly, I have to say that the cellar door and the muse restaurant were fantastic and the staff were very friendly. (Especially Kate — super knowledgeable & so nice!!)However, it was disappointing to find out after our stay and checking instagram, we had been put in the accessible room (101). This would have been fine if they had’ve told us beforehand, but it feels as though we were ripped off and missed out on what the experience had to offer.The bathroom had a completely open shower and what was clearly a disabled toilet. It seems as though an accessible room would have been better suited for someone else, other than two 20 year olds there for a weekend retreat. Surely there were other visitors this was better suited for?Also this accessible room was directly in front of the main foyer and reception desk, so we were woken up early in the morning by staff working & other guests using the elevator. As two 20 year olds staying at a winery, we tasted our fair share of wines and being able to sleep in would have been appreciated.I want to emphasise again that this would’ve been fine if the reception staff had informed us when checking in, however they didn’t mention anything at all, and thus we feel the stay was not what it could’ve been.Additionally, the room had heating and a fan, but no air conditioning, it was stuffy and hot at night, and although I can appreciate the money spent on the clearly expensive bed linen it seemed as though it would have been better spent on air conditioning. also no hair dryer lol.

Amazing experience friendly staff,Definitely my number one place to unwind escape city rush.Only one negative bed I slept on was uncomfortable river side suite.Can't fault anything else.

This place really needs to up its game for the price- staff really weren’t helpful, everything seemed to be too difficult, room service is pathetic (came in a paper bag, no cutlery, no napkins, nothing), food very average. Think you would have a better time at a local air bnb..
