Keeps running out of popular Lager-like beer which forces you on to experimental, dark, fizzy, second-rate craft beers. No spirits sold (apparently they get people drunk). Awful implementation of RSA laws (serve you/friends beer and then say they can't drink it). Probably the worst (most overpriced) burger in all Sydney - $26 for pure meh! Did I mention how uncomfortable the 'chairs' were. Beware the staff.

Bar staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Beers were great, rhey brew a the beers on-site. Also have a substantial food menu. Although we didn't to try the food, I look forward to coming back for the weekly specials after sighting Laksa and Curry on the board, perfect Winter warmers.Being right at the entry of the motorway, I would encourage you to sit inside during peak hour.

If you like good independent beer and are not willing to drink megaswill, then Flat Rock Brew Cafe is pretty much your best bet in the area. There's always a good selection of beers on tap and the fridge often has some interesting (and expensive) beers too. There are a couple of hand pumps for that authentic pint. The menu has a fairly standard selection of pub dishes, so you won't go hungry. If you are after a few good beers with a standard pub meal to go with them, you'll do fine at Flat Rock. There are no annoying TVs hanging off the walls, which is a very welcome change from most venues. The staff have really good music playlists - I very much enjoy the background music, which is not overwhelming, but very enjoyable.

Great small local brewery, some beers brewed in house. Tasty snacks. And dog friendly.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Waited to be served, no one came. Should have known by osmosis to beg the 2 disinterested staff behind the bar for assistance. Also it's a cafe with no coffee.

Great service, good line up of craft beers. Had the English pale pale, the and oak aged belgium one, finishing with the red rye. All on tap!

Great beer but poor food used to be a hallmark of Flat Rock.I don't know if they reorganized their kitchen or simply got new chefs but the food lately has been much, much, better lately. The steak that I had tonight was 5/5.

A small bar/pub that serves their own beers as well as a rotation of various other craft beers. They also serve a few good selection of food (they have Beef Wellington on the menu!). Staff are super nice and very friendly. Great atmosphere, perfect for hanging out.

A true neighbourhood brewery & pub with dedicated and long-term staff. They worked with me to succeed with a sort of group function (actually a few over the years) and while the venue doesn't offer 42 taps nor a huge courtyard, it's likable for being a nice sized friendly place with a good menu & kitchen, and of course, great beer. Indoor (front, back and upstairs) and outdoor seating.
