Merewether Motel

A lovely clean and modern refurb motel.Bed was super comfy .Shower was lovely.Very friendly and helpful staff.Road noise was there,but certainly didn’t take away from my positive experience.Large tvServo and pub handyParking was greatTotally recommend this motel ⭐️

Very friendly welcome, nice clean room.Strange bathroom set-up with bathroom type sink in kitchen. Nowhere to put clean clothes except toilet seat Good value though and comfy beds.

My husband, baby, toddler and I had a wonderful 5 night stay at Merewether Motel over the new year period. Firstly, it's next door to a Coles Express making it very convenient for any late evening essentials (you won't have to worry about any noise, you can't hear any from the room). A 5 min drive to Merewether beach/ocean pool with ample parking, despite travelling there in peak season.The rooms are recently renovated and have all that you need for a short or longer stay. You can request for crockery/cutlery also to prepare simple meals if you have children. The housekeeping service at Merewether Motel was faultless. My husband and I have very high standards in this regards and the room was always cleaned to perfection, we had a full linen/towel/amenities update after day three and overall very friendly, accommodating service by the housekeepers.Rachel at reception was also very welcoming and helpful and nothing was ever an issue.We would not hesitate to return to Merewether Motel should we visit Newcastle again and highly recommend it to future guests!

I love this motel. I stay every time I stay in Newcastle. The rooms are clean & have everything you need. The staff are always friendly & willing to help in any way they can. The motel is just around the corner from Lingard hospital & if you are going there or seeing a Dr linked to it they offer a discount.There is a Chinese restaurant right next door, a great pub for meals a few doors up & a shopping centre less than a kilometre away. The beach is very close too.I can't recommend this place highly enough.

The rooms are more luxurious than the higher end hotel chains we usually stay at. Seriously high quality accomodation. Check them out! The location is great too. Right near Merryweather beach and Glenrock lagoon. Highly recommend this place.

If you're wanting very clean and well presented rooms that are affordable for a family (with ample parking) along with a 10 minute walk to the Lingard Private Hospital and 5 minute drive to Merewether Beach then this is the place to stay!Staff were very kind and helpful, and the swimming pool & spa is terrific.

A wonderful experience to stay in this surprisingly super modern, spacious, clean motel.Reception were most helpful from the first contact to book to lugging my bag upstairs for me.Large comfy bed, dream shower, good size fridge, microwave, full length mirrors, balcony.Within walking distance of Coles, 20min walk to beaches and Merewether Ocean baths and close to heart of Newcastle and museums, cafes, restaurants and Miles of beautiful ocean.Free basic brekky and push bikes free to hire a nice touch.Would definitely stag here again.

Rooms were small but comfortable. Good location, easy access, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good! I would happily stay here again.

Excellent. Rooms are quite small but very clean with very comfortable beds. Microwave and fridge and kettle. Breakfast very good too, especially the fried breakfast. And a big thanks to the very helpful staff too. No complaints at all, we thought it was great value.

Clean apartment with amenities close by. No dishwasher in the kitchen but otherwise nice. Fold out couch ad the second bed was fine. Clean towels and sheets. Room in a good state of repair.
