I recently resorted to jims roofing for a roof inspection over concerns of potentially rusted roof screws found during leak repairs over the last couple years. It is very hard to get quotes at the moment as everyone is very busy so Jim's get's an extra star for actually being available to quote and being timely on the day. after paying a redeemable on future work $130 for a quote I had to chase the quote as was not actually sent after I declined to sign ahead quoted work at the door following the initial quote. This quote was for a more thourough inspection with a promise to change a handful of rusted screws and empty a hard to reach gutter. It also included a ludicrous quote of 4.4K to convert 5 downpipes on a single story house, only tipped off due to the fact 5 pipes costed MORE than 5 times the quote for a single pipe?! eventually had this done to a high standard by a handyman for less than the cost of a SINGLE quoted downpipe. after chasing quote and going ahead with more thourough inspection, unimpressed. gutter not emptied and screws not changed even after mentioning to tradesman at start of job and instead quoted another job Why change a handful of screws when you can do them all and respray?" 6.9K for a single story 250ms roof?! even had the nerve to leave a sticker on powerbox at front of house
