Torquay & Surfcoast Cattery

To be honest... I'm a childless, crazy cat lady so I take the quality of a cattery very seriously... I've been taking my cat here since he was six months old. He's now nearly 18 & has had over 100 happy stays at the Torquay & Surfcoast Cattery. The Torquay & Surfcoast Cattery is like his home away from home. The team take such good care of him, grooming him & giving him lots of hugs & pats + monitoring his health & well being. I always know that he's in the best of hands, so I can enjoy my holiday without worrying about my beloved cat.

Always reliable and we feel at ease when we leave our precious babies in their care. Just delightful owners who really care plus they are vets which is extra security.

What a weird and awful experience. The owner Darina who had been pretty friendly towards me for previous times times that I used the cattery, flipped her lid one day for the tiniest and I mean tiniest misunderstanding about dates. She let lose on me over the phone, she screamed and yelled at me. It was over some dates during the Xmas holidays - pre COVID, about 5 yrs ago. I wanted to move them as I was trying to coordinate my house moving dates which were not set in stone. I was upfront with her the whole time about my situation in previous conversations. The experience really shook me up, she was just so nasty and irrational. I didn’t understand it because I was a regular client of theirs with two cats and I used their in-house vet service too. She made me feel like I was going to cause her business to fold ( I think they’re doing pretty well - They always seem busy). Unfortunately I had to go ahead with the booking because I had no where else to put my cats while I moved. Darina never said anything to me, didn’t apologise, just pretended it didn’t happen. So Ive never been back and I don’t use her family’s vet service anymore either.

Torquay and Surfcoast Cattery is a home away from home" for any cat to stay. We can highly recommend them.Each cat-guest is brushed and cuddled every day

Very professional, small space but we'll designed- they love what they do and you can feel this when dealing with them and your cat is in good hands, highly recommend

My cat is always so happy to get in her travel box and go to see Darina, Seamus and the team at Torquay and Surfcoast Cattery. Clean rooms with lots of enrichment and they are given many cuddles and attention.
