Great friendly service and high awareness of health restrictions allowing one person or family in store at a time. Pies are totally awesome with Real meat in them and they taste like a piece of Kiwi heaven. The slices bring back childhood memories and taste like I remember the one's my Mum baked. What a brilliant find!!UPDATE: A week later and I've already been back. Got a breakfast pie and OMG, so damned delicious. The pastry and filling were perfect, well worth the 15 minute drive.

Best bakery with nz favs & treats. We drive from the GC just get a Taua's fix... Fresh! & well presented with each item crafted to perfection.Love the breakfast pie & mini pineapple pies! Yum!

Was very excited to try a bakery that has good reviews.Went today. And was disappointed. I got chunky steak and cheese, and there was maybe two pieces of steak in it. The filling was like jelly and was very tasteless. For $6 a pie I was very disappointed.

Hands down worst experience travelled from city just to get a taste of home pies when I got there there was a hour wait for the pie and when they put them in they were all gone not putting any aside when they knew I travelled and waited a hour for it avoid at all cost

Chunky steak and cheese pie was delicious.Proper filling with good chunks of steak in there without all the jelly filling.Very rich flavour

Wow! Steak and cheese pie was amazing. Steak was tender and had barely any fat on the pieces, a refreshing change. Also had the peanut butter slice which was decadent and highly recommended.. if you can get here on one of the 3 days it's open you'll be in for a treat. Will be back to try everything else

Went there today for the first time. Bought a fresh cream long doughnut, to take home and have with a cup of tea. It was delicious and huge. I was greedy and ate it all. There's other unique beautiful looking treats in there as well. My partner loved his pie having real steak pieces and being a good temperature, was a Goldilocks moment. Not too hot not too cold, just right. The gravy was tasty too. We'll come back for sure and don't live locally. Saw a Corned Beef and Watties pie, sounds like a Kiwi fave.

Delicious! If you are missing or just craving some good ole N.Z bakery food, Tauas definitely hits the spot. Pies are fresh and full of meat. Desserts are tasty aswell. Definitely recommend the fresh cream donut and pineapple cream pies are also delicious.
