Great views at the top. The path is quite good for 1.5 km on the way up, then as people have pointed out the last 300m is a rock scramble best avoided in bad weather.Path is a loop, I started by parking at the oval, took just under an hour to get to the peak.

Enjoy the walk to Chatauqua Peak. Difficulty was 7/10 until Last 100 meter which was 9/10If you are not fit, skip last 100 meter and enjoy the view just before the peak which is as good. No mobile reception on some part of the track. If you are in a group Stick together as I lost my way back to base and it was not funny. All paths looked the same for 30-45 minutes and I was exhausted and thirsty.

Great short walk with spectacular views over Halls Gap, a well made track for most of the way suitable for most walkers. Last 300m to the peak is for the more adventurous and requires some rock hopping.

After a nice climb and a rock scramble for the final 300m, the rewarding views are well worth the effort put in to get up here. 360deg views across the Grampians Halls Gap area. This is one place to make sure you have good hiking footwear and best only done in the dry. The final climb to the peak requires both hands and feet in places. Not ideal for young children, or those with a big fear of heights, best to enjoy the views down at the path intersection which has a nice lookout as well.

Our top pick of all the hikes we did in the Grampians. Physically not challenging at all until you need to rock scramble. The only trial being a fear of the cliff edge if you're scared of heights, as there are sheer drops on either side of the peak.

A great little walk and we had the place to ourselves even on a summer weekend. I guess this in part because of the grade4-hard rating given to the walk. The only challenging bit was the last 300m at the top where as others have said involves scrambling over borders and the drop either side can be a bit daunting. I wouldn't suggest attempting the last bit in wet conditions. Took us 1:45 to do the loop including both waterfalls that were dry, and 10mins or so at the top. Great views of Halls Gap.

Great alternative walk from the Pinnacle walk. Shorter and easier terrain with an equally great view. It’s 2.4km and took us an hour up. Park near the tennis courts in Halls Gap and walk uphill until you see the sign. There is a waterfall on the way but it was dry when we got there in summer.

Great morning walk up up up through the bush. Lots of wildlife and beautiful views from the top. Going along the top of the ridge requires a bit of confidence on clambering over and up rocks. Do the loop from behind the sports fields early in the morning and enjoy the kangaroos stretching and warming up. Then head down to come out behind the botanical gardens.
