Choices Flooring Mitchell

Choices Flooring Mitchell came highly recommended but then something went wrong. Paid 50% deposit as requested end May and was told this would secure the carpet we had chosen. Needed to adjust date for installation which was all good. Changed installation from 18 June to 12 July. Call today to find out when we can expect the installer to arrive on Monday only to find out the carpet hadnt been secured and there is currently none in stock. Next production is expected mid August. They were happy to give my deposit back. I’m disappointed that no one called me to let me know particularly when they originally advised they would call me closer to the date of installation to confirm when we could expect the installer to arrive.

The Junior staff member was a bit off putting and would not agree to liaise with my real estate agent to organise flooring. The senior staff member on the other hand was extremely helpful.

Our old flooring was removed down to the slab becsuse of an email sent by choices that stated our new flooring was in. Reality was... it hadn't even been made yet (4-6 month wait).Instead of taking ownership over the situation (considering we have a 1yr old confined to the top floor of a freezing cold house) I was confronted by a grumpy old man who stood in my home and took zero accountability for the error his employees made & blurted out every excuse under the sun as to why it wasn't his problem.Sir, I'll leave you with two tips;Tip 1 - Train your staff to do their job correctly!! If something goes pear shaped, educate them on how to fix the issue... DONT JUST FIRE THEM!Tip 2 - LEARN TO APOLOGISE!!! An apology can go a long way!! Empathy goes a long way!! Mistakes happen, as a business owner you need to learn to deal with them correctly!

Initial purchase experience pretty good, but now I've been ringing for 2 weeks, to get someone to come out and check the carpet and do some more work (that I would pay for!) Each time I leave a message with a person, including work order numbers and no-one rings back! At all!!

Mark recently installed Classic laminate to replace the very aged carpet in our home. His work was superlative. The store staff were excellent, providing highly professional service, advice and samples that enabled us to make the right choice. We are most happy with our new floor covering that matches the other floor coverings.
