I got there at about 1.30pm and had to wait in line. All the fish options were sold out at that point so I opted for the pork katsu. I thought the food was just ok and price a tad high. I will not come back.

The amazing Japanese restaurant is tucked away in a corner, easily mistaken as a normal cafe. The food is authentic and scrumptious. The Chicken Namban is a must try! We had 2 sets and a main between the three of us and it was just the right portion.

The food here is really unique (and tastes good, of course).People are saying the service isn’t great but for a new place I think it’s to be expected. That said, expect to wait about an hour for food to arrive.

Stopped in before they started their move and had breakfast. I ordered the chicken nanban in a set while my partner got the Japanese rice porridge.All the food was good, but the overall sevice and turnover of tables and food/order taking was lacking.

Cute Japanese breakfast cafe serving breakfast teishoku. Tasty, fresh, and unique to typical breakfast cafe offerings. It will set you back $28 per person which is on the high side. Have noticed on the two occasions that I have been there that service tends to be on the slow side.

This is a beautiful space that is tucked away from the main street. It reminds me of the hidden gem eateries you find in Tokyo. I loved the food - true to Japanese cuisine, but with a Melbourne twist. The menu seems seasonal and fresh. I'll definitely come again!

Great value for teishoku! The food quality is good as we expected. All the side dishes are good, I can easily finish the whole bowl of rice. I can taste the freshness of the fish, the king fish collar is nice but I do think it may need a little sauce or more seasoning with it . I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Quick tip, get in early as items start to sell out if you leave it too late.
