EBM Insurance & Risk - Sydney

Having taken the landlord insurance in NSW, the company did not advise majority of claims like fencing due to storm is not covered in NSW. It applies only in Queensland and WA. And proof of storm should also be provided. Other claims are also very restricted and should be less than 15 years old. I burnt my fingers with this insurance.

Would not insure with EBM again for landlord insurance. They do everything possible to get out of an insurance claim and say someone else other than the tenant did the damage to they dont have to pay you.

I have always had a positive experience with this company. Rebecca our wonderful area client executive has always been responsive and informative. I have no doubt that she is the most wonderful person and I would not hesitate to recommend her to all my landlords. 5/5 stars from me.

I wish there is a negative star so I could express my truth frankly. My case have been summited months ago and it still pending to be finalised. One of main reason was that I have to wait for weeks to get replied. They requested irrelevant documents for assessing my case. In saying irrelevance, I have consulted Terry sheer senior consultant to have this confirmed. Even they had all requested documentations in hands, their answers and advise were evasive and lacking professional perspective. So far my queries regarding the settlement have not been responded and the last reply from EBM was : You case was closed. That’s all.Plus they never sent the renewal to insurer.I am very disappointing and frustrating. I am a property investor for decades and tried various insurance company over years. I won’t recommend EBM to anyone and I will let my friends who are working as real estate agents to know it’s not the one can be recommended to their clients.

Highly recommend EBM because of the great customer service I received from Tom Teom. He was amazing and always there to answer any questions I have. Best customer service I had in an insurance company.

staff member who handled the settlement is the worst I have ever seen! Just because you work from home doesn't mean you cant respond to emails.. Simply doesn't care about who she is effecting by lack of response and need to help ..
