Reed House

The rooms are very clean, the staff and volunteers are extremely helpful, understanding and friendly. Most of my communications have been after hours and it hasn't been a problem the people there go out of their way to help. Thankyou

We stayed at Wishlist's Reed House next to Nambour hospital on the 1/4 and 2/4 2019 as I had a medical procedure on the morning of the 2/4 at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, our first impression was WOW !how well organised, friendly and helpful the people who volunteer there were, I was already impressed after my first phone contact to book a room, but after arriving ( right on lunch time ) my opinion was not only reinforced but raised too an extreme level, the two ladies who were volunteering on the day would not here about finishing their lunch but insisted on checking us in and getting us settled, our first impression of the accommodations was just how clean and homely the place felt, even having a bad back and being on the third floor was no problem because Reed House has an elevator, they have a video and book library to kill the time while your are there and nothing was too much trouble for them, at this point I would like to give a big shout out too Narelle, this lady drove us to the hospital at 6 15 in the morning so I was on time for my 7 am appointment and then when it was time to come home the Reed House Car was not available as another volunteer was using it to take someone else to their medical appointment, so Narelle drove her own car to pick us up, Narelle is one of the most genuine lovely people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting, everyone of the people we meet that volunteer there go way above and beyond anything you could reasonably expect and they do it with a smile and kind word, it really restores my faith in human nature too meet and see just how selfless and helpful these wonderful people are. I cannot recommend Reed House highly enough for anyone needing accommodation for medical appointments on the Sunshine Coast and the cost will surprise you, $ 60 a single or $ 80 a double and with all the extras like taking you to medical appointments or even shopping if you need to go, everything you need is there you just need to bring your own food, they even leave a little care bear on your bed to take home after your visit, what a great little touch, you would be mad to stay anywhere else. A very big THANK YOU TO REED HOUSE AND WISHLIST FOR THIS GREAT PLACE AND A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WHO GIVE SO GENEROUSLY AND FREELY OF THEIR TIME.
