I ordered the kitami ramen, and I would give it a 3 star. The broth is too salty to me, and the pork pieces are a bit dry. A pretty interesting place with Japanese groceries and frozen products.

They should pack up and retire.Food reheated meals looked terrible.Left meal on table and walked awayLike it's egg and chicken on rice very hard to cook fresh

Having had Ramen around the world....Kitami in Carrington is quite authentic. They don't have the traditional Tonkotsu Ramen, but their pork broth ramen is fantastic. Cheap and friendly. Recommend

I have eaten at Kitami several times. It's a sweet little venue and the staff are polite.I want to be able to give them a higher score.My main qualm is that the menu states food is vegetarian when it contains fish stock. Also the menu is not always clear in identifying which vegetarian items contain fish stock. For example, on the website, for some items it will state vegetarian and then note that it contains fish stock. However, it doesn't do this for the vegetable tempura. I wish the restaurant menu was clearer when communicating with customers around this. I believe it would be more honest to label these menu items as pescatarian.My advice to vegos would be to stick to the vegan items or clarify ingredients with the staff.The food itself is simple but nice and well priced.

Excellent ramen. I had Kitami Ramen and the soup was simply divine, down to last drop. A quality I didn't expect so far from Tokyo. Atmosphere is very, very homey: a charm by itself to me.

Lovely staff and such, such awesome food!! The cooks here are from japan and the taste is so authentic at reasonable prices! The Grocery has plenty of imported Japanese food and spices aswell, highly reccomend!

Great business idea of combined restaurant and convenient shop.However, zero customer service.Menu is too small to read and the photos are too small and dark to see. No description on the dishes either which basically makes the menu useless for me.Ramen is ok with a pinch of pink ginger to warm me up in the winter night. Everything else is just average and the combination of ingredients not really blended together.

Had dinner here. Made a booking because I wasnt sure how busy it would be. I left a message and they called me back a short time later to confirm. I'm glad I booked because it was really busy! Only one man serving meant he was clearly rushed but once we ordered it was very quick. The food is very authentic, delicious and very good serve for the price! The cute restaurant being in the shop is also very Japanese. Will be going back and taking others with me!
