I went to Chemist Warehouse Brookvale today to purchase the Kristin Ess 1 litre shampoos and conditioners. The bottles are too high for the shelf, having been wedged in between two shelves. The only way to get them out was to push the shelf up to release the bottles. While I have been purchasing this shampoo and conditioner for the past two years (kept in the same wedged in position at the store), today large 1 litre bottles fell on my face from the top shelf above, bruising my cheek and cutting my nose. Staff assembled asking if I was OK - I said no, but no help was offered, they were just standing there picking up bottles. I went to the pharmacy section asking for an ice pack (which they did not have) when the pharmacist came over. He had a smirk on his face telling me he walked past when I tried to get the bottles out from the shelf and 'saw what I did' (pushing the shelf above up to release the bottles) and 'we have kept the shampoos on that shelf for five years and nobody else had a problem with it'. Apparently it did not occur to him at the time to offer any help at all, which could have prevented the accident. Clearly, a duty of care is non existent at this store, and the care factor when something goes wrong hurting their customers is even less if that is possible. I have spent thousands of dollars at this store for my family of five over the years - but today was the last time I will enter the store. Good luck to anyone who does.

I hope the management of the cooperation reading these reviews and will do something about the staff at the Brookvale branch. They show zero interst in your needs.I told the cashier that the price they charged me for the shampoo is more than what on the shelf. His response was that what it shows on the machine

Appallingly rude staff. The baby formula was priced higher in their system to what was on the shelf ticket and online. I went back to the shelf (with my baby strapped to me) took a photo to show the staff. The man at the register snatched my phone to have a look and then he threw his hands up in the air and said he couldn’t do anything about it to change the price in the system or he would get in trouble. I asked for the manager or for someone who could change it. The manager suddenly appeared and didn’t speak to me or even look me in the eye. When I pulled out cash instead of card he rolled his eyes at me in a huff. It’s a discount pharmacy so I never expect it to be about 5-star service, but some basic manners wouldn’t go astray.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE pharmaceutical staffWent in to go get some medication . First of the all the lady who served me had no idea what she was doing. Went and discussed the matter to 4 males making the situation very confronting and more difficult then it had to be. Finally had a pharmacist come and speak to me. Horrible horrible service. Came up to me holding his sandwich and chewing his lunch in front of me. DISGUSTING. Didn’t even give me the form to sign or ask for ID which is the correct process to go through. Told him my situation and proceeded to NOT recommend taking the medication.Horrible staff horrible service - don’t waste your money going here for medication!!!

Avoid this Chemist Warehouse. I witnessed a gentleman this afternoon (Mon May 22nd, 2023) go to the front counter to pick up his Click and Collect. The male staff member was outrageously rude. I put my items back on the shelf and left. We should not support businesses who disrespect customers. (I happily bought from Chemist Warehouse Manly not long afterwards - friendly staff.)

Asked staff member for metamucal, she had virtually no understanding of what I was saying and just shrugged, asked another member of staff who said he did not know what it was. Looked all over shop and found it, when I got to counter was charged $10 more than on the shelf, . I questioned this and was told I would have to wait till the very long queue was served and she could look. I asked for a refund and was told o go to the manager at the next till who was the man who did not know what the product was from the shop floor. This was Thursday and its now Monday and the refund is still pending.

After a very bad experience with Priceline decided to order from Chemist warehouse instead. Prices are very good and received my order in 2 days. And it was very well packaged and pleased that delivery was free for me.Very happy will order from them again.

Dear Bao the ‘pharmacist’: How about listening to the customer instruction when the customer submits the script. That way they are not waiting double the time bcos the order needs to be redone . Not that you care …. You may enjoy standing in the pharmacy for hours. The customer does not.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent visit to your pharmacy in Brookvale. On Tuesday 14th March, I presented a prescription for my 18-year-old son's ADHD medication, but it was refused on the grounds that it was fraudulent. As a professional older woman, I found the way I was treated by your staff to be unwarranted and unjustified.During my visit, I was met with suspicion and was made to wait for over 45 minutes without a clear explanation for the delay, despite asking for updates on three separate occasions. It was only after I voiced my dissatisfaction that I was informed that the staff had contacted my son's psychiatrist to verify the legitimacy of the prescription. It was almost 5pm and my son needed his meds for school the next day, so I asked for our prescription back, however the pharmacist's behaviour towards me was rude and unprofessional. She smirked and refused to return the script without speaking to the psychiatrist first. Only after I demanded my script back did she relinquish!I drove to my local pharmacist who filled the prescription within 5 minutes without question. I believe that this experience was unacceptable discrimination, and the staff's behaviour was unprofessional and unjust.I submitted a formal letter of complaint the following day, requesting an explanation and apology. However, it has been over four weeks since then, and I have yet to receive any response or acknowledgement. It has been complete radio silence from the pharmacy. If I had exhibited signs of drug dependency and addiction, such as scabs or sores on my skin from scratching or picking, been underweight, or looked unwell, then their reaction might have been warranted. However, none of those characteristics apply to me, and it is unacceptable that I was treated with suspicion and contempt by staff members who were much younger than me. It is simply disgraceful. Furthermore, even if a customer at Chemist Warehouse presented with signs of drug dependency, they should be treated with care and professionalism to help them seek assistance, rather than with suspicion and judgment.Judging from the abundance of one- and two-star reviews and the lack of response to customer feedback, it is evident that there is a recurring pattern of poor customer service. My suggestion would be to endorse and back smaller, independently owned pharmacies.
