When they get a bad review they brush it off as 'No record in our system' - absolute joke. I came to this place in June 2021 with my Holden Cruze as I noticed a coolant puddle under the car. They said I would need a replacement water pump and quoted over $1200 for repairs, they topped up the coolant and said to book back in for the pump replacement. Skeptical, I took the risk and drove back to QLD and had zero coolant leak on the 12 hour journey, visited my usual mechanic in QLD who said there was nothing wrong with the water pump. This place is a rip off - I do not recommend.

Asked for a vehicle inspection report as I was selling car, never had one done before so no idea what to expect. Got a piece of headed paper saying:Interior Trim good conditionNo defectsDrives wellPaid $75 obviously guy I was selling it to was not impressed so he paid for a proper one.Guy is a con merchant do not use.

I initially used this business to get my car serviced, & I found them to be really helpful & informative about potential issues with my vehicle.Four weeks later my starter motor burnt out so I took the car back to the Car Doctor. I was informed to contact Holden as there had being a recall on the Captiva vehicles for starter motor issues. There was no recall pending on my vehicle according to Holden so they went ahead & replaced the starter motor. So back on the road I re-located to Victoria, & exactly 2 weeks after getting the car back from the Car Doctor my starter motor burnt out again. I was informed by the mechanic here that the cable from the starter motor had not being replaced when the car was repaired in Canberra. I contacted Nathan to see if there was any warranty on the starter motor repairs they did, but needless to say they refused to acknowledge any wrong doing with there repairs.So they are a company that does not back up there work & are very poor technicians when it comes to major issues. So go elsewhere, or at least get another opinion on any major repair.

These guys are absolutely great at what they do and their service. Greg Murray the owner and his great team went above and beyond to help diagnose and fix my vehicle.They did an outstanding job, and at a competitive price.Plus their attitude and charisma was a breath of fresh air and second to none.Highly recommend

Always thorough with their work and well communicated. They go to lengths to ensure courtesy vehicles or transport is available while they work on my car and have been quick to call with issues or questions. Highly recommend them, friendly and never had issues with the work or prices.

100% rate all the guys and their work!! I take both my cars there and Nathan and the boys never disappoint. I've been to many mechanics in Canberra, and the car doctor has the best professionalism, customer service and knowledge of them all. I will never not recommend them and will continue to take my business there

I do not recommend this place at all!! Total rip offs! Quoted me $2500 for a clutch replacement when every other mechanic quoted me $1100-$1300! $2500 for a clutch replacement is just outrageous!! Will never go there agian. ( to their response i don't know what high grade materials you are using but I contacted aprox 20 mechanics and got the same qoute) so I stand by my review that you were trying to take advantage of someone who dosent know much about cars and are rip offs)

Used these lads twice now and would rate them 20/10 every time :)Good pricing, logical and layman's explanations of what's required and why, everyone I've interacted with (3-4 mechanics/service gents) has been polite and professional - experienced too.Had a big service done and they gave me the lowdown of what needed to be done and when, explaining what was essential etc. Car has purred the whole last 5000kms and continues to.Went back to get an aircon inspection and my front and back pads done (all well and truly due considering how long I've had the car) and they were just as amazing/through!Can't rave about them enough - considering I've been in Canberra about 4 years, tried way too many expensive places that screwed me over. These guys have aced it in every category. Thank you!

Nathan is a top bloke, has great customer service skills and is honest, trustworthy and friendly. Works hard and looks after being very skilled and reliable. 5 starts will use the car doctor again.
