My wedding dress was way too big for me after postponing my wedding a year and had to be altered down at least 2 sizes. Jenny did such an incredible job on my dress and to top it off was also such a lovely person! I couldn’t be more happy with my experience here. So glad I got recommended to go to stitch house.

Jenny and her team are not only totally delightful, but they are also absolute masters of their craft. I have been coming to Jenny for several years now, after being recommended her by a friend. Had my wedding suit altered here. Collected and paid for the garments only to find my pants had not been hemmed, with the pins still in them when I got them home. Contacted the store and left a voice message but was not even called back. Used another tailor who fixed my pants that day. Use at your own risk.

As a long-time customer, I have entrusted Jenny and her team to alter many items over the years: pants, skirts, dresses, a varsity-style sports jacket, and most recently and spectacularly my wedding dress (which I had purchased a size too large). Her expertise is obvious, and her work speaks for itself. Her prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of workmanship. She does not undervalue her craft, and so will recommend alternatives (sometimes including going to someone else) should you need to prioritize cost foremost. She is rightfully busy and very popular… if you need a special-event item completed I would make sure to get in early to avoid disappointment (as she is realistic in her time estimates). Highly, highly recommended.

I needed a velvet dress taken in for a wedding this month, and was a bit worried about it getting ruined, as I've heard velvet can be tricky to work with. After reading their reviews, I decided to take it Stitch House, and they did such a wonderful job. They're so great at their craft that you can't even tell it's been taken in.When I picked it up I was in a bit of a rush, and didn't notice it wasn't quite fitted around the waist. Unfortunately I realised this on Friday night, and the wedding was on Sunday afternoon. I was getting a little stressed that I'd have nothing to wear, so I took the dress back in to see if there was anything they could do. They took the time to repin it, ensuring I was happy with the shape, and told me they would make sure it was ready for me by the next day. The person who helped me even offered to work into their evening/day off, which was incredibly kind.I dropped the dress off around 10am, and they had it ready for me by the end of the working day. They even added some extra boning on the top of the bodice, as it was missing some. The dress is perfect, and it's something I'll keep in my wardrobe for a very long time.I was a bit nervous taking it back in as I'm a bit out of my depth with alterations, and wasn't sure what was possible. Everyone at stitch house was so friendly and understanding, and did absolutely everything to make sure I felt my best in this dress. They got it done at such short notice, and did the additional alterations completely free of charge.I'd highly recommend this shop if you're needing any alterations done. It was such a positive experience, with such kind and skilled people. I'll definitely be back.Thanks so much guys!
